Use it or Loose it!

Hi friends : ) I hope you are having a wonderful week!!

I have been busy lately doing some organizing (still) and realizing how much fun and fabulous "Schtuff!!" I have in my stash that is both unused and used.  I keep buying the fun new stuff I see in Blogland and ignoring the fun stuff I purchased at some point in the past.

I am turning over a new leaf!! : ) I have decided to challenge myself to....
  "Use it or Loose it"

This card was created using a package of dimensional stickers by K&Company.  The package came with the cupcake as well as 12 "sprinkles" like yellow and the pink felt circles with sequins on top : )   I used some green polka dot pp from my stash and two polka dot embossing folders in different sized dots.  I wanted the dots to "float up" from small dots to the bigger dots on the pp and then big dots on the top panel : )

I created this card with  CASology in mind because the theme is "Sprinkle" this week.

I really liked the design of my card which was inspired by Maile Bells style so I used the same design to create a card for the:

Jenni Murray's card

On this card I used a pretty patterned paper that my sister sent me some years ago.  Too pretty to use! LOL but I'm now that I am turning over a new leaf  : ) Blogland gets to see this pretty paper : ) Some of the inking on the left side of the paper was actually already there.  I inked it a bit more and added a Martha Stewert paper flower and some bling.

Both cards have the panel on the top of the card base popped up to give sweet dimension to the recessed sentiment.

I am also entering these cards in the Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge! : )

My good friend Theresa is doing some organizing and downsizing too! She has over 50 stamp sets for sale - most are from Close to My Heart.  You can find her wonderful sale - including FREE SHIPPING!! HERE.

And just so I can reward myself for using up my old stuff - I am hosting a "virtual" home party with Close to My Heart LOL to buy more Schtuff!!  If you wanna come to my party just let me know and I'll e-mail you a ordering code : )

Thanks a bunch for stopping by! Have a great day.

Patti

Two wonderful cards, Patti. Love them both. Especially the sprinkles on your cupcake. I wonder how you will do with your use it or lose it challenge. Whenever I challenge myself like that, I cheat and go shopping anyway. Thanks so much for playing along at CASology this week.

Hi Patti! Thank you so much for your sweet comments - I came to visit and also to say it would be such fun if you came to play in the snippets playground. You're right, Theresa is a peach and I'm sure you are too. I adore your cards here - I only just made my first card with the horizontal split for a sentiment the other week and I do love that design. Your floral card is a beauty and the cupcake is such fun. I added myself as a follower and do come and play qith us!

Very pretty card designs, Patti! I really like the pattern paper on the second as well as how you have the sentiment area recessed. Good luck showing some love to all your schtuff! You can do it (eventually). :)

Both of your cards are so sweet! I love your new motto and I hope you don't mind if I adopt that same challenge for myself. I have so much stuff that I've saved over the years, and even though I've been doing some purging and cleaning, there's still so much more stuff to tackle. You've inspired me to keep purging, or "use it or loose it!". Hope you have a wonderful weekend, my friend!

Your cards are gorgeous and I do especially love the last one with that gorgeous pattern paper you used on it and the flower. And, I like your thinking....I, too, have too much shctuff so I am trying to use up more. So many of my wood mounted stamps no longer see much ink so I am thinking of downsizing with them. I accumulated lots of them when doing design work for various companies in the past.

You did such a great job using your stash! I had a scrapbook store 5 years ago....kept a lot of the things I loved, and I am bound and determined to use them....after all, I still love them, and they still look good on projects!!! Keep using and that stash and sharing what you create with us :)!!

2 great cards to inspire me. Even more, I too, have lots of paper that is "too good to use". You voiced the sentiment I've been feeling; too good for what. I'm going to start trying to use some something from my special stash every week.

I too have so much great stuff that is being ignored. I think I am going to try my best and join you in this challenge! isn't amazing what a split design does to a card! These are both really fabulous! Now if you can tell me how to photograph my cards as well as you...I'd be a happy camper!
