Giving Thanks for You!!

Hello ladies : )  I hope you had a good week and that you have fun plans for the weekend.  I have to say this has not been the best week I have ever had... Our car broke down on Sunday, our dryer and my computer broke down on Monday, my husband got sick on Tuesday and because he shares EVERYTHING with me I got sick on Wednesday!!! I'm counting the minutes until I can crawl back in to bed LOL

Before I do that, though, I wanted to thank you all for your incredible comments on my bird painting in my last post.  I feel a little guilty as I read them because I am certainly NOT a gifted artist!! I followed an on-line tutorial to paint that bird.  I am positive any one of you could paint the same bird and do it better!! I am very new to watercolor painting,  I can not draw so the picture was first traced on to my paper from the original artists sketch using graphite paper.  The original artist, Louise De Masi, provides a step by step tutorial of how to paint this bird.  Her video is clear and she tells you what colors to mix and everything!!

Thank you for being so sweet but I don't deserve all this praise : ) Give it a try yourself and share your painting with all of us.  : ) Again, you can find Louise DeMasi through You Tube and then she will direct you to her Patreon site where for $6.00 per month you can watch all her amazing tutorials.

I made this card for my niece whose birthday was last week but I want to share it with you today to say a special thank you for always being so nice to me!!

(By the way my computer issues continue so if any of you have tried to e-mail me it looks as though my email address is no good.  It is a good address - and will be back up and running "soon" whatever that means LOL)

BIG (((hugs)))

So sorry you have had a bad week. Get well soon. And that explains why the email I sent was undeliverable.

I am so sorry to hear of all your troubles, and that you are not feeling well. I certainly can sympathize with you. We got home from our Egyptian vacation on Tuesday and are still recovering. Last night found both of us taking a nap at 6:00 while dinner was cooking in a crockpot, too tired to eat. You are too modest, as I am taking Amy Schulke's classes and they sound the same as your classes. Only I use Copic's and pencils to color. That bird was fantastic, and I know how much work it was. I lost my hard drive the week before vacation and right before the Power Poppy remix/hop. That meant I lost all of my previous digi's and my programs that I use for my cards to organize them. What a mess. I am here to tell you it will all get better. All you need is patience and rest.

Oh Patti! My heart goes out to you with the extremely rough week you've had. It always seems to come in waves doesn't it? I do hope you will nurture yourself and your husband so you can get back to feeling better. That's the most important thing. Thanks for the info on the classes. I am certainly looking forward to seeing what else you care to share. This card is adorable. Love the look on her face. Thanks for sharing about the email. I was wondering! Good luck to you as you get back to your normal! Big squeezy, squishy hugs!!

So sorry you've had a bad week, Patti. I hope you're feeling better soon. I did get a "mail delivery error" but I hope you still saw my comment because you underestimate yourself in the painting department.

Oh Patti - I hear you about computer woes - I am using a borrowed one while I await a new computer... sorry to hear your hubby is so generous he even shares the bugs with you.
Love your gorgeous card - you are a naturally talented colourist, and it shows in how beautifully you have coloured this sweet image
Blessings

What a very lovely card you've made here! Such a cute image and beautifully colored too! I would LOVE to get into that watercolor painting like you've done when I have more time that is! LOL! I hope to dabble a bit more next year in the Spring or so as my hours seem to run into each other any more! LOL!! Always love to visit your posts my friend and I hope that you have a better week ahead! HUGS
