A quick post for me just under the wire for both Seize The Birthday and Simon Says challenges!!

Edited to add:  Shucks! I didn't make it in time for Seize the Birthday after all LOL.  My Mom used to say"the hurrier I go the behinder I get"  That is me lately but I'm building my card stash anyway right?!

My wonderful husband fixed my studio lights and I'm back in business : ) He's a keeper!

My blog is going to the dogs

Hello friends : ) Thanks a bunch for stopping by!  I know you've missed my corny jokes so here is one to ponder until you get the answer at the end of this post:

Why did the coach go to the bank?.....

My card stash is actually frightfully low!! so I am concentrating on getting it built up again.  I started with a set from Penny Black's new Sweet Spring release and had a hard time stopping! LOL

No wonder dogs are considered man's best friends.  Look at how sweet they are!

I wish those puppies lived at my house!

I'm planning to CASE myself and make this one into a  Mother's Day card too!

I'd feel the exact same way if I had a cupcake! heeheehee

I stamped the image directly on to my card face for this one but popped up the gift with a pop dot.  I might have overdone it on the glitter - you can barely see my package underneath it all but IRL it looks sweet.

I have been MIA because right after photographing these cards the lights in my "photo studio" went kaputz! leaving me unable to photograph my pictures.  The parts to repair them have arrived so hopefully my husband can get them fixed this week.

Ok, you waited long enough.....

Simplicity Sister time and Happy Easter! wishes

Happy Easter everyone! I pray your day is filled with Love!!

I used an old Penny Black image for my card today that still brings a smile to my face.  I colored it with Prisma Colored Pencils and then added some fine glitter frosting! I don't know if you can see it or not but I sponged some clouds in the background and added some green to the grass - fresh and springy like Easter should be.... well somewhere in the world they must have blue skies and grass for Easter! giggles.

Heeheehee - I had to see if you were awake yet this morning! : ) This is my last day to be a featured guest on the main Penny Black Blog however, I still have a few more Sweet Spring posts up my sleeve to share next week! I hope you are enjoying them.  : )

I'm glad you are enjoying my goofy jokes! I have a friend who sends me one just about every day.  She said her husband sends them to her so I have no idea where he gets them but they are fun! My oldest grandson used to be the family joke teller - many of which were his own made up jokes! We enjoyed laughing at him - laughing at his own goofy jokes! LOL  I have been sending him some of these jokes and now he is laughing at me!! Laughter does good like a remedy : ) Proverbs 17:22.

Today is day four highlighting Penny Black's Sweet Spring 2018 release.  This week I have been sharing a card a day that is being featured on the main Penny Black Blog . It is always an honor for me to be included in the talented line up of designers for Penny Black!

A young girl was attending her first wedding, watching the proceedings with interest for a while before growing restless.

The groom stood at the altar as six bridesmaids walked slowly up the aisle, one by one.  Soon, the girl leaned over to her mom and whispered, "why doesn't he just hurry up and pick one?"!

Day three in a week with Penny Black and a Birthday wish!

Day three for me featured on the main Penny Black Blog. Highlighting some terrific product from Penny Black's Sweet Spring 2018 release.

I love spring!! it cannot come soon enough for me but while there are still some frosty days outside here is a splash of color to keep you warm while wait : )

I want to point out that this flower die was cut from white card stock.  I sponged both orange and yellow ink trying for a slight Ombre effect.  Really opens up color possibilities huh!? : )

I also wanted to join Blogland in wishing Time Out Challenges a very Happy 4th Birthday!!

All the brightest sunshine, best love and contagious laughter to you Time Out!!

Ok, this doesn't have ANYTHING to do with Penny Black or cards or Spring or anything but I heard the cutest joke the other day and I just had to share! : )

Six year old Katelyn and her four-year old brother, Joshua, were sitting together in church.  Joshua giggled, sang and talked out loud.  Finally, his big sister had had enough.  "you're not supposed to talk out loud in church!"

"Why? who's going to stop me?" Joshua asked.

Katelyn pointed to the back of the church and said, "See those two men standing by the door? They're hushers"

Heeheehee that cracks me up!! and just so you grandmas know - the names have been changed to protect the guilty!  : )

Day two with Penny Black

Hi ladies here I am back again with another card highlighting Penny Black's Sweet Spring 2018 release.  This one is perfect for March but not just for St. Patrick's day because the message is true every day of the year.

As I shared in yesterdays post I am being featured on the main Penny Black Blog  every day this week.  I hope you'll pop over and have a look at all the inspiration you'll find there : )

Using a sentiment as the focal point on a card is always fun especially when you are "lucky" enough to have a friend worthy to deserve the sentiment.  I am! : ) I gave this card to my Irish BFF, Diane and it yielded an Irish hug!! : )

Day one in a week with Penny Black

Hello crafty friends.  I have the honor of sharing more ways to use some of the wonderful new products from Penny Black's Sweet Spring 2018 release.  Every day this week my cards will be featured on the main Penny Black Blog I hope you'll pop over and have a look : )

The flower die on this card is called "Bodacious" which, according to Webster, means:

"Outright, Unmistakable, Remarkable, Noteworthy, Sexy, and Voluptuous"

That is a pretty tall order for such a delicate little flower but it holds up to it's name beautifully!!

This truly is a delicate flower but I would like to say this die cuts like butter and the flower easily slides right out of the cutting die!

This was a very easy card to create!  I started with an A2 size card.  Using the Bonus piece from "Stitched Stackers" die I cut the etched line through my cs horizontally before adding a score line above and below it.  Then  I cut two flowers from white cardstock and one from hot pink cardstock - sandwiched the pink in with the white for some sweet dimension and finally added my sentiment.

Try it for yourself!! : ) it is easy peasy.
