Inspired: Grace

Hello friends : )  Is it sunny at your house today? We are expecting a high of 75* so we are going to get out on our bikes and enjoy the beautiful sunshine!!

Here is another card in a series of cards I created for my niece and my sister.

I used to get mixed up between Grace and Mercy but then my sweet husband told me that a good way to remember is this:

Mercy is not getting what we do deserve and Grace is getting what we do not deserve.  ☺

Isn't God incredible!?!  I hope you have an amazing day : )

Inspired: Praise

I can always find reasons to Praise the Lord!

This is the third card in my personal "Inspired" mini series.

It is a little difficult to see in this picture but I started by masking a rectangle in the center of my top panel and stenciling some polka dots in turquoise ink.  Next I removed the mask and stamped my floral image over the polka dots in the same turquoise ink.  The rest came together easy peasy!!

I hope that you are finding the joy of the Lord in whatever things you face today.

Think Spring

Hello friends ☺ I hope you are seeing signs of Spring in your part of the world.  We are enjoying having windows and doors open to let in the beautiful weather.  If you are still experiencing more winter-like than spring-like conditions... this one is for you!

Some time ago Jill Foster, Penny Black's social media director, asked me if she could coordinate a schedule post with Penny Black's main blog using three of my cards. You can see the PB blog post HERE.  I didn't do that good with the whole coordination thing, I realize, because I failed to post my cards ... until today! ...but there is no time like the present right??

These happy Happy Birthday cards were created for three of my family members.  One of which is my dear ol Dad who will turn 90 in July!! His favorite color is blue and he has always loved his sweets! This treat will make him smile without raising his blood sugar! LOL

All of the supplies I used can be found in Penny Black's newest release, Timeless 2019. I know most of you have seen this great release because I have enjoyed seeing these great products popping up all over Blogland!  but in case you missed it you can view the entire collection HERE.

Have a wonderful day! and thank you so much for stopping by.

Fun Friday with Patti & Penny

There are lots of fun things about Fridays but for me the best part about this Friday is promoting the new Timeless 2019 release from Penny Black.

Cards don't get much easier to create than this one.  I cut an A2 card base, top panel and butterfly from the same card stock.  I stamped and embossed the butterfly with detail white embossing powder, added the sentiment - popped up the butterfly then attached the top panel with foam tape.

Here is another easy one in the same basic color combo.  I started off stenciling polka the dots and sentiment on a card front that had the corners trimmed on two sides.   This sweet little critter was stamped on a panel cut from Snowflake stitches and colored with Copic markers.  The top panel is popped up using foam tape.

Thank you for stopping in today.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!! and that you get to spend it doing something you love.

Inspired: Prayer

Hello friends : ) I hope you are having a happy Thursday!

Today I have the first in a series of cards I am creating for my sister and her DIL who are both pastor's wives.  These girls give of themselves in ways that make me proud to know them - always encouraging and supportive and ready with a meal, a smile, a kind word or a shoulder to cry on.  Each card in my collection will feature the "Inspired" series by Papertrey Ink.  I will be posting the cards I'm making for them randomly over the the next few weeks : )

I will be entering this card in the Just Us Girls challenge.

Woo Hoo!! tomorrow is Friday and I will be back with another Fun Friday with Patti & Penny post for your viewing pleasure! heehee

Timeless - XOXOXO

The XOXO of love and kisses truly is timeless!

I created this card for my granddaughter who used to LOVE to play tic tac toe as a child.  It's a little difficult to see in the photo but I created a grid for the tic tac toe board using the stitched hearts die from Penny Black's newest release, Timeless 2019.

Once the top panel was created I simply positioned the letters to simulate a winning game - added a portion of the You Enjoy die, popped the panel up with foam tape and attached it to my 5" square card base.  Easy Peasy!!

The products I used are among the fantabulous!! products on sale on-line in the Penny Black store.

I will be entering this card in the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.
