Almost April!

I decided to create a CD calendar for my daughter, Sarah. I just decided - LOL so this will be the first page she gets but I will continue it each month until ... whenever! I really love doing calendar pages. You may have noticed that I never posted my March 12x12 calendar page. It is because I never made it! I have been so busy lately I've fallen behind. I will be sure to post it soon.
This little cutie was created using a Stampin' Up image that I borrowed from a friend. I also used a pretty daisy sticker border by Martha Stewart. I wish the pictured showed it better but the yellow patterned paper by Heidi Grace highlights the centers of many of the flowers with a little dot of what looks like epoxy to make the flower centers "pop"!
And!! welcome my sweet little ant. Isn't this ant just huggable!? I found her in a wonderful little store not far from my ant hill : ) I just had to have her!!
Thanks for looking!! Patti

Shaped Cards

Thanks to my friend Lisa (click here to see Lisa's Car card) I have been a shaped card making fool! I created these cards for a class I'll be teaching at Organized Chaos, my LSS. I cut the Tea Pot and Party Hat cards from "A Child's Year" Cricut cartridge and the Oven card from "My Kitchen" Cricut cartridge. I love the shaped cards!! it really gets me thinking outside the box when I look at the die cuts available.

I hope you enjoy them too! thank you for looking : )

Sassy Purse Album

My friend Susan has inspired me many times! in the few years I have "known" her. I appreciate you Susan!! The most recent way in which she inspired me was to post pictures of a great project she created! Check out Susan's take on this fun purse. Be sure to follow her link to the site she found her purse on! It is a funny small world this crafting place we love : )

Several years ago I was introduced to this purse at a Stampin' Up workshop. I fell in love with it!!

Coincidentally to Susan's post I had just finished creating this "sassy purse" for my sweet great niece, Emma. Emma loves pink and orange. I had already photographed my purse before I saw Susan's purse so I didn't get a picture of some of the differences but I will describe them:

My purse is really a mini album which you begin to create using two 6x6 envelopes - these envelopes then create a sleeve for the extra photos sheet. The back of my purse doesn't have an extra piece of paper concealing the ribbon handles because on mine you use SU grommets to thread your ribbon through. The grommets look... sassy! : ) I think the only other difference is that I created the scallops for the purse flap and cut them with my "Storybook" Cricut cartridge.

I chose a variety of fun and "sassy" papers.

All punches used: corner punch and scallop punch, circle punch, ticket punch and tab punch are all SU products.

And my giggling little miniature
Emma is an oldie but a goodie from Stampin Up as well.

I hope you will enjoy seeing this great project and you'll try one yourself they are easy peasy!!
Let me know if I can help.

BIG (((Hugs))) Susan!

one UGLY card!

March has definitely come in like a lamb in northwestern Wisconsin. The temperature has been hanging around the 40s under bright blue sunny days! I love it. We may have a lion in our future but for today we feel blessed. : )
I've been busy creating cards!! I will be teaching some classes in March and April at my good friend's Scrapbook Store. I've created two sets of 5 cards for her Five for $8.00 classes. I posted 9 of these cards below but just realized I forgot to photograph one! LOL I guess I'll have to add that one later so in it's place I'll add this UGLY card LOL that "didn't make the cut" heeheehee I created this card in hopes to promote her Velum sales and show off this cute Cuttlebug butterfly but I just didn't like how it turned out. This ugly card is lucky to have made it to the blog! LOL (now you know not all my card creations are good ones heeheehee)
Thanks for looking and have a great day! : )

I wrote the word "Congratulations" as opposed to altering my oval to accommodate a stamped sentiment. I can't decide if it makes the card look too "hand made" or if it enhances it's "value" to the recipient. What would you do??
