MIM - Diamond Wallpaper Stamping
Ashley Canon Newell has challenged us to create a background for our card this week. You can see her VIDEO HERE.
I did not have many Papertrey Ink stamp options in my stash for this challenge but found a shaped stamp in my Button Boutique stamp set and rotated it a bit to create the perfect "X" : ). I added a soft center dot from Flower Fusion #6 and a sweet little flower stamped in two different colors from the Happy Hexagons stamp set.
My sentiment is from the PTI Movers and Shakers Sentiments. This card is for a friend of mine who has a birthday coming in August. She is going to be totally THRILLED! to see her age stamped center stage on the front of this card LOL.... no wonder I don't have many friends : )
Please consider joining the Make it Monday fun! and be sure to check out what others in blogland have created in response to this fun challenge. By all means please visit Ashley's blog HERE She is not only a talented paper crafter - she has the cutest baby I have ever seen! and I have seen a lot of babies : )
Thanks a bunch for stopping by and enjoy your day.

Get Well soon!
I didn't mean to take a break from blogging after I finished my 100 cards in 100 days challenge but it turned out that way. I have been very hard at work (and play) : ) and my "photo studio" has been disassembled so even though I have been making a few cards I have been unable to take pictures of them.
I have also had some very unhappy events happening in the lives of some very close people in my life. My Dad was rushed to the hospital last week with a serious heart problem. He is home now resting well after having a pacemaker inserted. That was too scarey! : ( He is 85 years old and I am tremendously grateful we still have him with us.
Two days ago a friend text me to let me know her husband had been rushed to the hospital after having a serious accident in his garage involving his hand and a grinder! He is also home resting after a dreadful ordeal! : ( I made him a similar card to this one. I surely hope this is the last time I will ever! need to use this ambulance from Papertrey Ink's darling stamp/die set.
My card design was CASED from one of the design team members for Papertrey Ink but I'm sad that I can't remember which member - so sorry. They used PTI city stamps but I don't own them so I substituted some sweet houses from a retired Stampin Up set.
The Special Delivery stamp set is really fun and versatile!! Here are the links to where you can buy these products:
Special Delivery Stamp Set
Special Delivery Sentiment Set
Special Delivery Die Collection
That is it for today. I am so glad to be back and hope to get around to some challenges and visiting more blog friends soon.

Happy Birthday Pineapple
I created this card using a wonderful image from Mo's Digital Pencil and some patterned paper from Stampin Up's International Bazaar DSP. My sweet friend was born and raised in Hawaii and is lovingly known as "Pineapple" : )
I will keep it short today so you can spend any extra time you have visiting Marybeth's time for paper an outstanding blog by Marybeth! She is a beautiful person and paper crafter. My only problem with seeing all her amazing creations is that it makes me wanna go shopping! Welcome friend.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

MIM 172 - Kaleidoscope
So does this card say Kaleidoscope to you?? a little bit?? sort of?? LOL
Hello friends : ) Here is my take on this weeks Make It Monday hosted by Dawn McVey for Papertrey Ink. See Dawn's Video tutorial HERE.
Before I continue I would like to extend the warmest of welcomes to my newest follower, Taunya Butler. Thanks a bunch for following me Taunya. If you have a blog would you be so kind as to send the addy to me. I would love to be able to stop by and see your work and leave some love for you too! : ) Edited to Add: Yes! Taunya has a blog! see her beautiful work HERE!!
My friend Theresa came over this week and together we tackled this challenge. It turned out to, indeed, be a challenge! Theresa persevered but I gave up... several times! Finally with the help from my friend I ended up with this card. It was Theresa who suggested the shaker feature and then I remembered Marybeth's amazing card for the same challenge that I commented on earlier that morning : ) so I lifted Marybeth's technique of using a clear bag for my chopped up Kaleidoscope confetti. Thank you to both Marybeth and Theresa for your help!*wink*
I stamped my rainbow of images from the Boutique Borders: Friends Stamp set by Dawn McVey for Papertrey Ink. The sentiment is from the Happy Hearts stamp set - also from Papertrey Ink : )
There is still plenty of time to play along with this week's Make It Monday Challenge. I hope you will visit the blogs of the other participants too -you are sure to be inspired by this neat challenge.
Finally I wanted to ask... do you have a friend who is playful and kind, generous and loving?? Well I do! and it is Theresa owner of Inky Fingers blog. Please take a minute to visit her blog and see her sweet cards. She would really love hearing from you - it would make her day and mine too : )
Have a wonderful!! day!

My 100th card in 100 days!
I did it friends!! Thank you so much for all your pom pom waving - rah rah rah - fun filled support. I did it : ) I created 100 cards in 100 days!
This interesting little card started out looking like this:
I purchased a boxed set of eight cards and matching envelopes by Anna Griffin, Inc. in about 2007. I thought it was a cute design and would make a nice card base - I just never got around to making a card with it until now. This House Mouse image seems to have been made for it huh? LOL
As my challenge has come to a close I am happy because I know that it does not mean I stop making cards! whew!! On the contrary all the inspiration I've gotten from visiting all your blogs has made me want to make MORE! It has really been fun. I have had over 2500 new page views since I began my challenge in April and exactly doubled my followers from 42 to 84! : ) Those are the statistic but the best gain has been the sweet friendships that budded and bloomed during this challenge and hopefully will continue to grow.
I created this card for you, friends, and it is oh so true:
Life is so sweet with friends like you!
Tomorrow I will draw the winning name for my blog candy. All of the comments have been tallied and identified by unique numbers. I will use a random number generator to select the winning comment.
You ladies are the BEST in blogland!! Thank you for your friendship - it means the world to me!
BIG (((Hugs)))
Patti
Thank you for brightening my day - TWO!!
Here is my 99th card! whew!! I have cut this way too close! LOL So to make life easier I made this quickie little card. I used Papertrey Ink's Circle Cover Plate to emboss the lower section of my card taking some inspiration from Maile Belles diagonal design from THIS POST. I really like how she often angles her designs. The rest just came together with bits of scraps and some buttons. My sentiment is from CTMH "Card Chatter- Thank You". The inside reads "Thank you"
So tomorrow is my 100th day and I have made a special one for my "final" card. : ) These thank you cards are for YOU for cheering me on so wonderfully this past 100 days! I can't thank you enough.
If you are new to my blog please check out THIS POST for all the details of my BLOG CANDY. The drawing will be Wednesday!
Have a great night see you tomorrow!
Patti
Counting Down... four... THREE...
Tomorrow is the last day - day 100! In my challenge to create 100 cards in 100 days : ) These two cards are the 97th and 98th I have made since April.
When sunny skies and backyard BBQs were calling my name! LOL I got behind but with only two cards left to make I'm feeling confident : ) My craft room looks like a bomb went off but my cards are coming along nicely. heehee
Sorry, again, about the lighting in my pictures it took me longer to get these two pictures than it did to make the cards!! ugh!! I may need my DH to lend me a hand : ) But you get the idea... just know... these are softer and prettier IRL : )
My top card uses Pool Party cs from Stampin Up. A heart cut out by Spellbinders, an EF by SU and a sentiment by CTMH : ) The card face is popped up with foam squares. Underneath is an old old script image that I have no idea where it came from.
The bottom card is about as easy as a card gets. I cut my PTI Stampers Select cs to a 4.75" square and layered it on black cs. I cut the little stamp die twice from a Cuttlebug die - once from white paper and once from the little Bo Bunny heart pp and popped it up with foam squares. I added a SU "thank you" from "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set and finished it off with a heart shaped button : )
Tomorrow we are having VIP guests so I need to leave the "war zone" and go prepare my house to welcome them properly : ) I will be back later today with one more card so please come see me again.
I am drawing for my BLOG CANDY on Wednesday July 16th : ) for a chance to win simply leave a comment on today's post. See the deets HERE!
Have a great day : )

Using my LOOT! - Six and Five too
My time is melting away in my challenge. I realize I made an error in my countdown post yesterday because according to my calendar I have just today and tomorrow to finish my cards and - after this post - I will still have FOUR left to finish/post! That means today I will be posting more than once so be sure to check back in later for my second (maybe third) post of the day.
If you are new to my blog I am talking about a challenge I gave myself back in April to create 100 cards in 100 days. I have CANDY to give away : ) All you need to do to have a chance to win is comment on today's post! : ) easy peasy!! See all the details HERE
These two THANK YOU cards were created for YOU : ) my friends, followers and commenters - using the nifty paper flowers that I won from Miss Teri at Moxi FAB World. If you are interested you can see the rest of the goodies I won in THIS POST. The blue card is being sent off to Teri this week : ).
My pictures are a bit off - I have had to change up my photography station. I can see that I need to fine tune my lighting but who has time for that! LOL I have cards to finish : )
I better scoot! I hope to see you here later today because tomorrow is the last day! wow!! I can hardly believe how fast 100 days goes by!
Happy Monday friends.
Patti

Thanks a Million! - SEVEN
Ninety Four of 100 cards : ) With 6 cards left to make and only 3 days left to make them I guess I better start doubling up! LOL This is the last one I actually have completed but I'm planning to play with paper today. : ) I'm cutting this way too close! LOL luckily - even if I do not finish my last 6 cards there will still be a drawing for my BLOG CANDY on Wednesday July 16th!! : ) Simply leave a comment on this post for a chance to win. See the details HERE.
I want to welcome my two newest followers, Victoria of Victoria Lavender blog. Victoria is a talented paper crafter and the originator of the AAA challenge blog check out the great weekly challenges and play along! I'd also like to welcome Mary of Carolina Cards by Mary H blog. Among her beautiful talent for cardmaking this amazing gal has just celebrated her 51st wedding anniversary! Now THAT is an accomplishment in this day and age. Congratulations and welcome. Thank you so much for following, girls,- I hope you'll find oodles of inspiration here.
My card today was created using some NBUS! another clear stamp - this one from Inkadinkado ; ) I also used some RBUS heehee (rarely before used stuff) with the patterned paper from "Print Poetry" DSP in the 4.5 x 6.5" size : )
Thanks a Million! for all your support in cheering me on in my personal goal to create 100 cards in 100 days! I wish I could award everyone a prize!!

Freshly Made Thanks - Eight!
As the countdown to my last 100 cards continues this makes my 93rd card!! woow hoo!! I made another thank you card because I want so badly to thank everyone for all the support you've shown me in my little challenge : ) For a chance to win my BLOG CANDY simply leave a comment on today's post : ) The drawing will be held on July 16th. See all the details HERE.
This card design came from Karren from the Freshly Made Sketch challenge blog. I really liked this clean easy to adapt sketch : ) Please take some time to visit Freshly Made Sketch's blog and what others in blogland, like Jen from I Create blog have done with this great sketch - you are sure to be inspired!
I used some vellum from my stash that has a leafy vine design printed on it in soft pewter. The image doesn't show it off very well but it has a metallic look with a mat finish.
I cut the word "thanks" from a Cuttlebug die - I also used s a Cuttlebug embossing folder (neither of which have the name printed on them) And I used some button dies from Papertrey Ink. Easy Peasy!
That is it for me today : ) I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!
See you tomorrow.

AAA Cards Watercolor challenge - NINE!
This is my first time for playing with the talented gals at the AAA Cards challenge blog. The challenge this week goes like this:
"Use any watercoloring media you enjoy most. Have fun with wild colorful watercolor Embossings, or Fine Art paintings, Color washes and splashes. Your watercoloring can be the background or the detail, an embellishment or die cut- we're very open to design and technique. We ask that your submission be in the CAS style. And this week please tell us about your paints of choice."
Back in April I played along with Nichole Heady, of Papertrey Ink's, Make It Monday technique she called "Watercolor Splats" You can see Nichole's video HERE. I really loved the look this technique produced. Here is the card I made in April of this year:
See the original post HERE |
I tried it again on the card I made yesterday - this time in shades of Pink - water based dye ink by Stampin Up.
I have to admit it I am one-layer-card challenged! I had all I could do to restrain myself from putting some layers or buttons and bows on my card LOL I am still not convinced it wouldn't look better with something but I was going for simplicity! and hoping my watercolor splats were nifty enough to stand on their own.
I did give into spraying some Pink Passion ink on to the card after it was all put together (I know right? bold move or...dumb). I used a toothbrush to spray the tiny splatters and I like it - my finger is still hot pink but the card is nice heeheehee.
Darnell will be glad to hear that the images I used for my card is from my NBUS : ) It is from a $1.00 Clear Stamp by Studio G.
Today's card is the 92nd card I've created in my goal to create 100 cards in 100 days! It is also a THANK YOU!! card for you, my commenters and followers and blogland friends. I really appreciate the fun loving support you have shown me on my self inflicted LOL exercise. If you want a chance to win my BLOG CANDY simply leave a comment on today's post. See all the deets HERE.
That is it for today! Please blurf over to the AAA Cards blog - you will be inspired!!
See you tomorrow : )

MIM and the countdown begins... TEN
I am on the home stretch and I see the finish line in view!! woo hoo this is my 91st card. I have decided that my last 10 cards will be Thank You cards for YOU!! in blogland for all the commenting and supporting and pom pom waving that have carried me through my journey to my personal goal to make 100 cards in 100 days : ) In case you have not heard I will be drawing for some yummy BLOG CANDY as my way of saying thank you for your support!. See THIS POST for all the details.
This sweet little technique was introduced this week by Betsy Veldman for Papertrey Ink. You can see the video tutorial HERE. I almost didn't participate this week because I felt I didn't have the right supplies but I am so glad I did. This is just the sweetest look!. You simply run your cutting die through your machine and leave some of the die uncut. The uncut portion anchors your die but the cut portion enables a dimensional look that is made outstanding when you sandwich in a coordinating colored cut die in between the card face and the card base.
I can't wait to order some beautiful flower dies from PTI because I know flowers or the butterfly would really look so much better but I really love this technique! Betsy is one of the best paper crafters!! IMHO : )
Because I like to use PTI products exclusively when I enter their challenges I was super limited in what I own. This is a MUST REMEDY situation! heehee These are the supplies I used:
It's your turn!! blurf over to the Make It Monday challenge of the week and link up your "Pop up die cuts" card... there is a prize!!
Have a wonderful day friends and again... THANK YOU!!

WOYWW 266
WOYWW is an acronym that means, What's on your workdesk Wednesday! the number is the number of Wednesdays that Julia Dunnit, owner of the Stamping Ground blog has been hosting this fun weekly hop.
This is my first time for playing along... I think... LOL it is crazy but I thought I had joined the WOYWW fun before but I have searched my past posts and can't find it. I must have chickened out. So anyway here is my maiden voyage and a little look at where I do my papercrafting. : )
Today's card is my 90th card in 93 days : ) I only have TEN more cards to create in my personal challenge to make 100 cards in 100 days! woo hoo!! I am offering BLOG CANDY that you could win simply by making a comment on today's post. See THIS POST for all the deets.
Before I show you my card here is my workdesk today : )
I have been wanting to try this CAS style with Papertrey Ink's Doodlie-Do stamp set. It is simply a one-layer card with the exception of the flower centers which I layered for the slightest hint of dimension. They are not popped up but rather glued flat to the card but after cutting them out I ran the rim of the cut out on my black stamp pad so it was really nice and dark making the centers stand out a little more : )
I colored the card with my Prisma colored pencils and shaded them with Gamsol : )
And here is my workspace. I took these (bad) pictures in March. I had completely transformed a "storage room" into a craft room so I could really spread out! heehee and wanted to get a few snapshots to show a friend of mine who lives out of town. These were taken at night so the lighting is terrible and the pictures are mostly blurry. They definitely do not show off the wonderfully bright space I have because of the two windows in the room but I thought I would include them anyway - you'll get the idea. I have seen some pretty amazing workspace/playhouses *wink* and I know this space is not remarkable but it's mine : ) and it works like a charm. With only slight modifications two people can comfortably work at my desk too because it is 8' long.
That is it for me today. I am going to get in a little card making and a little blog visiting and then off to the lake for some fishing with my best friend!! : ) A happy July day! Have a great day. ; )

Wonderful Words Challenge!
Hello friends : ) Today I am posting I card I created in response to the UBER talented Teri of Moxi Fab fame : ) She has challenged us to " grab a word die or two (or three or four) and make a card, scrapbook page or some other paper crafted project with it."
I can PROVE! Teri is talented!! just look at this great card she sent me last month in the PRIZE PACKAGE I won from one of her contests!! Thank you so much Teri!! I appreciate all the fUn!! you bring to blogland!
For my card I used a Happy die from Papertrey Ink's on"One Liners: Happy die" set as well as a "Four Square Die" also from PTI. I stamped the word "Birthday" from PTI's Birthday Classics: May stamp set.
I hope you are not getting sick and tired of my "Dotty For You" paper from CTMH I know I'm not! heehee there is still plenty of it left in my paper pack and I am truly dotty for polka dots so you are sure to be seeing more of this wonderful card stock. The little butterfly is from a Martha Stewart : )
I got to use some NBUS when I included the "Four Square Die" on today's card and! a card I will post tomorrow. I knew I wanted it but after I had it I couldn't think of how to use it : ) Now that I have gotten the hang of it I can see all sorts of great uses for it! : )
Today's card is my 88th card in my challenge to create 100 cards in 100 days! I am so close to my goal now and do have two more cards finished that I have not posted yet but that won't be enough! : ) I need to find some paper crafting time this week - LOVING that idea! : )
If you are new to my blog please see THIS POST and how you can have a chance to win my BLOG CANDY!!
Have a wonderful day! see you tomorrow.

Still time to send a card for Emma!
Hello friends : ) Today I will be sharing three cards that I made for Emma. She is an 8 year old little girl with Leukemia. Our blog friend, Kelly, of Kelly's Place blog has organized a card drive for Emma which will end on July 20, 2014. The cards that Kelly receives have been being given to Emma weekly : ) You can see all the details HERE.
I praise God that I have never heard those dreadful words associated with my children or grandchildren. I cannot imagine how hard it would be as a Mom to watch your little one undergo treatment like Emma has gone though in the past 8 months. I see from her Caring Bridge site that Emma will begin a 2 year maintenance plan later this month. : ) I hope and pray the worst is behind her and her family.
Emma loves the colors green, purple and blue. She has no siblings. She has two dogs, a cat and a fish. She LOVES horses and bunnies. She enjoys horseback riding, swimming, dancing and singing. : ) Please consider joining this card drive - there is still time! : )
My first card features a digi image from Mo's digital Pencil. I colored her from bottom to top in the colors of the rainbow : ) I am such a kid!! I love coloring : ) I used my Prisma pencils and Gansol to shade. The sentiment is from A Round Array by SU.
Next I created this card using another digi. This digi was a freebie from Becky Oehlers you can find the download HERE. I created the "grass" in my card by stamping a small flower in two shades of green ink all over. Then I created the blue in the sky by stamping a small cluster of flowers and a swirl all over the sky : ) I have never tried filling in a large area using stamped images like this before and I think I like it!
I pierced holes along the stitched line on the "ground" and tied actual thread along the lines holding the clouds and the sun. Just a fun card for Emma that I topped off with plenty of bling bling cuz GIRLS just LOVE bling!! (girls of all ages!).
EDITED TO ADD: The following Digi is from CC Designs. You can see this sweet digi HERE. Many thanks!! to Shanna from The Stamping Banana blog for helping me to identify this cutie!! : )
My last card is also a digi image but sadly I cannot remember the name or the company where I bought it. If anyone knows I will be glad to edit my post to add the name. I want to give credit where credit is due!! This sweet faced little girl comes without a smile! I know any Magnolia Stamp lovers will not like this but I kind of hate!seeing images of people without a mouth! eek sorry.... so anyway I drew one in! LOL I printed out a large version of this digi on an 8.5 x 11" paper for Emma to color herself. I left the mouth off so she can make the smile of her choice! : )
I hope you will join this really wonderful outreach by sending a kid friendly card too : ) Kelly has organized a really nice collection of prizes including... a gift certificate from one of my very own hand crafted neckStyles™ infinity scarves from my Etsy shop!! : )
Let me sum up this ever so long post by announcing that these three cards bring my total cards to 87 cards completed!! in my challenge to create 100 cards in 100 days!! I only have ELEVEN! days left to make 13 cards!! I appreciate all the wonderful comments you've left. Just a reminder that you increase your chance of winning my BLOG CANDY with every comment you leave! See all the DEETS HERE!
Thanks a bunch!! Have a great day!

Hearts Cover plate embossed on the left of the card by PTI
Happy die form PTI

Butterfly Birthday
First I would like extend a warm welcome to my newest follower, Alicia O'Bryant. So glad to have you join us here!! : )
My friend Theresa owner of Inky Fingers blog lent me this amazing die from Memory Box. Isn't it exquisite?!!
In response to Danielle Flanders' Make It Monday challenge last week I tried my hand at another card using vellum and some layers. I started with a white card base and layerd a strip of teal polka dot paper on the left. Next I cut a die from PTI Chevron cover plate and layered that on top of my card base. I replaced the white chevron cut outs on only the right side of my card by snipping them in half and gluing them down in the negative white spaces. Then I layered some sheer polka dot vellum over the whole thing sewing it down on my machine and catching in the soft blue ribbon too. I then layered the circle with my sentiment and finally was ready for my butterfly.
To create the butterfly I cut the detailed top layer from solid white cs and then did a watercolor wash on the lower portion of my paper using Island Indigo Ink from SU. I sprayed some of the same Island Indigo ink by rubbing a tooth brush on the ink pad and spraying in on my paper. I stamped some leaf stamps using CTMH sunset ink : ) Finally I cut the bottom portion of the butterfly out and glued it all together!
I think this die so so beautiful you could cut one from an old shoe! and it would still be amazing... : ) hmmm an old shoe... now that sounds like a good way to repurpose an old shoe heeheehee. I can't thank you enough, Theresa, for lending me this beautiful die but I am going to have to buy this one! : )
This card is the 81st one I have made since I started my challenge to create 100 cards in 100 days. : ) I have just 15 days left before my drawing for BLOG CANDY on July 16th. to have a chance to win simply comment on today's post! For all the details see THIS POST.
I have been slow to post these days as it is hard to be indoors when the weather is so nice! but I have several new cards to share this week and even though I have not yet finished making my 100 cards I'm feeling confident I will meet my goal! ... whew!! : )
I hope you are having a spectacular summer! soaking up plenty of Vitamin D and enjoying getting inky!!
