Papertrey April Blog Hop Challenge

Yeah!! time for another Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!!  Here is the challenge:

"If you take a look around, you can find inspiration in nearly anything!  This month we challenge you to look at embroidered patterns in a whole new light!  Look through your clothes, Pinterest, home decor catalogs or even the inspiration I have provided above and find an embroidered pattern that speaks to you.  Using the colors and design of the embroidery, build your own stamped version using your favorite floral stamps or other images.  No stitching required!"

Searching Pinterest for "Red Work Embroidery" I found this inspirational design -

Design by Rosalie Quinlin
Red Work is among my favorite embroidery styles. It is a style of decorative needlework that consists of embroidering the outline of designs onto a white or off-white background with a contrasting color thread (usually red). It reminds me of my Grandma and my Mother-in-Law and my sister Beverly Ann.

I just can't wait to see what our fellow paper crafters have created in response to the hop challenge.  I love embroidery!! If I had the time I would create embroidery inspired cards all day long! LOL

Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog today.  In doing so you are automatically entered in a drawing for the chance to win my BLOG CANDY!  Please see THIS POST for all the details.

Have a wonderful day!!

Patti
