I just want to thank you all so much for your Happy birthday wishes!! I really appreciated each and every one! : ) Those who know me best know I love my birthday!! really love it! I am blessed with a husband and friends who put up with my goofiness about my birthday and bend over backwards to make my day perfect! this year was no exception. You know what this means... I have thank you cards to make!!
I created these buttons by cutting two each from white card stock and then just stamping them. This is definitely a more postal friendly variation! : ) |
Here are a few that I've finished so far. I'm slightly delayed because as my birthday WEEK continues I've been busy with friends and family continuing my celebration! LOL This weekend I have a VIP visitor keeping me busy but I'm sneaking away to post these cards. There will be more later in the coming week : )
This series of cards were created using the PTI Button Boutique stamp set and coordinating dies. I have posted cards from this set previously but those were more of a Vintage feel. I wanted to try this set with some bright cheery fabric from my stash and I really like how they turned out.
I started with lots of white! and did some embossing for a clean fresh look. I cut thin strips of my fabric and gathered them to make a ribbon like trim. As I was out in blogland I learned about a challenge at Sentimental Sundays blog for a challenge to use fabric on your card. A perfect fit for these cards so I will be entering that challenge for the first time. : ) Be sure to hop over and check out what others have done with this challenge : )
My first card design is from the challenge blog at Mojo Monday! I LOVE the Mojo Monday challenge blog and all the wonderful inspiration I can glean there. Please check it out you re sure to be inspired as well. : )
These cards bring my total to 64 cards created in my personal goal to make 100 cards by July 16th! : ) I am offering BLOG CANDY!. All you need do to have a chance to win is comment on this post : ) See all the details HERE.
Well I best get back to my company. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend and are having the opportunity to get inky!! : )

These are so fun!! Happy Belated!
Wow! What gorgeous cards! I love anything with a sewing theme and what a great idea to use a couple layers of cardstock and stamp on them to make buttons!
These are all just fabulous!
I think these are some of my favourite cards you've made! I love everything about them! Thank you for the tip about stamping on the die-cut buttons on white cardstock - why don't I think of these things on my own! You have such wonderful inspiration! Fabulous idea and I love how they look. Your fabric is such a nice touch! I think the recipients of these cards will absolutely love them! And so happy to hear that you had a lot of fun on your birthday - sounds like a blast! Sounds like it's not over yet - Enjoy!
Oh, your energy is just tremendous, Patti! It would take me three weeks to make these three cards and even then they would only have ONE embellie on them, lol!! These are just incredible!! Hugs, Darnell
HI Patti, so pleased you had a fab birthday..your cards are amazing. I would never have known the buttons weren't real and why I have never thought of stamping on white card to make the buttons I will never know...stunning cards! Hugs Carole Z X
I loved this set the first time and I love it even more now. I want to play with fabric and cards now too!! I will be a little busy for the next couple of days but will try fabric on cards next chance I get. With a new grandson on the way.... fabric on the card would be over the top cute. Thanks for the wonderful ideas Patti. You are a super friend (big sister) and so very talented.
Every time I see this stamp set, I think I HAVE to have it! Your sweet thank you cards are so inspiring and pushing me even closer to the purchase, Patti!
Thanks for the 'new' challenge links, need to broaden my blog-horizon ;-)
PS: the fabric addition is so perfect
Lovely bright card.
