MIM - Diamond Wallpaper Stamping
Ashley Canon Newell has challenged us to create a background for our card this week. You can see her VIDEO HERE.
I did not have many Papertrey Ink stamp options in my stash for this challenge but found a shaped stamp in my Button Boutique stamp set and rotated it a bit to create the perfect "X" : ). I added a soft center dot from Flower Fusion #6 and a sweet little flower stamped in two different colors from the Happy Hexagons stamp set.
My sentiment is from the PTI Movers and Shakers Sentiments. This card is for a friend of mine who has a birthday coming in August. She is going to be totally THRILLED! to see her age stamped center stage on the front of this card LOL.... no wonder I don't have many friends : )
Please consider joining the Make it Monday fun! and be sure to check out what others in blogland have created in response to this fun challenge. By all means please visit Ashley's blog HERE She is not only a talented paper crafter - she has the cutest baby I have ever seen! and I have seen a lot of babies : )
Thanks a bunch for stopping by and enjoy your day.
Patti

A Fab card Patti,I love the background you've created, very inspired...really like that topper stamp too, what a great idea to add an age to a card! Hope your dad is progressing well, hugs Carole ZX
Great card, Patti! And thanks for giving me a good laugh this morning: 57, front and centre, just what anyone would want to see!
LOVE the soft background Pattie, very pretty card!
This is so pretty! I love it!
Patti, this is so adorably sweet!
Beautifully done!
Pretty card, Patti, your friend is going to love it.
Sweet card, Patti! I'm guess that at this age, we don't care who knows how old we are...I've got the same one coming up fairly soon too! Love your creative use of stamps; if you don't have what you need - improvise! Perfect!! Awesome colors too, and love that yellow base. Bev
Great diamond wallpaper, Patti! Fantastic idea to use that stamp.
Love the color scheme too and that wonderful sentiment showing your friend's age for everyone to see :O)
What a pretty diamond BG! Your friend will probably miss the whole age thing, it blends in so well:)
Fantastic card--I love that you put a number on it. I am laughing because I pulled out that stamp from Button Boutique and could not make it work--I am so bad about geometrics and space, but I could not figure out how to work it with the two sides being of different length. So glad to see that it can be done. And, those flowers are a sweet little touch on the wallpaper.
SUPER card. You did an amazing job with this background technique!
Patti, Thank You for ALL of the sweet comments you leave on my blog! Your support is so appreciated :)
