Take a TIME OUT! and meet Leigh Penner : )

Hello friends : ) I am here today with a card to encourage you to play along with us at TIME OUT Challenges where there is still plenty of time to join the fabulous cards already filling the gallery. The challenge:

Masculine with an optional twist of Mixed Media

STAMPplorations is our sponsor offering a $10.00 prize!! I have been honored to be a guest with this terrific challenge blog along side some of the most amazing talent in Blogland!! I hope you will join the fun.

Mixed Media is defined as Stamps and ink plus 2 other elements that add texture and/or dimension.

While I would not really categorize my card as mixed media it technically has all the elements of this description.  I really love this pretty deer in the winter woods die.  I hate to say it but I have no idea who made this die.  I wish the companies would etch their name and model number into the die somehow because once the packaging is gone..... For some time now I have been cataloging my purchases but this was "pre-brilliant idea".  If anyone knows where this die is from please leave me a note in the comment and I will edit my post : )

Now are you ready!?! to hear what I got to do yesterday!? I got to meet Leigh Penner of To the Full blog and her three remarkable children!!  They were passing through South Dakota on their amazing vacation and took some time to meet me!  We enjoyed lunch together and a hike around Sylvan Lake!

Leigh and her children got to climb all over the largest rock here to see if they could find "The Eagle" from National Treasure.  The TREASURE was found under the large rock formation in the foreground in the movie.  I sat on the bench and watched LOL

There were lots of pictures taken but I regretted to find when I got home none of Leigh with her children made it to my camera! : ( Still, here is a tiny glimpse of the very lovely Sage getting a picture of her Mom and I.  Many of you will remember Leigh has posted some pretty spectacular cards that Sage has made in the past!! I sure hope Sage will get back to posting her card creations soon : )

Thank you for stopping by.  Please don't forget to join the fun at TIME OUT challenges.  And in the UNLIKELY event that you have never seen Leigh's beautiful blog check out To The Full soon.  Hopefully Leigh will share some of the adventure she and her family had on their vacation.

BIG (((Hugs)))
Patti

A stunning card, Patti...classy and chic! How awesome that you and Leigh had opportunity to meet! I absolutely adore Leigh (she's just a couple provinces down the road from me *grin*) Soooo cool (and I adore you, as well, just for the record)! The photos are fantastic, especially those with you two belles gracing the scenery! One of these days, Patti, I'm heading your way and I'll pick up Leigh to come along for the drive! Need to find some bike races for my husband as added incentive to travel east. (BTW: We have a Sylvan Lake in Alberta, too).
Hugs~c

Love the grey and white combo. So pretty! It must be so great to be able to meet up with any blogging friends. Chances are small I will meet up with anyone here in Crete, Greece, but you never know...
Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. The You die is part of a set of 2 by CAS-ual Fridays but has not been released to the public yet. It was included in Catherine Pooler's Stamp of Approval Beautiful World collection. You can see both dies in Catherine's video at http://catherinepooler.com/2016/04/17/beautiful-world-collection-geobuilders-and-two-yous/.

I love your card and that beautiful die too. I can see that as a lovely Christmas or winter card. And how fun it is to meet with another blogging friend. I never have myself in person but I did meet with a stamping friend from another state once and we had a meal together in town. That was fun.

What a beautiful card. I don't know what the die is called but I do know that I love it! And I love that you chose these monochromatic colors. How sweet that you got to meet Leigh and her kids. Blogland seems so big sometimes it's nice to see that it is actually small enough that we can meet some of our online friends!

Your card for TO is so wonderful. Love the simplicity of the color scheme, and that die is amazing. Really does a lot of the work for you (LOL). You are so lucky to have met Leigh and her family. I feel like I know them because of her posts, but there is no substitute for the real thing. Fun photos. Thanks so much for being our guest designer at Time Out this week.

Such a handsome card Patti! How fun for you two beautiful ladies to meet in real time~and with that backdrop~WOW!! As for the die~I've used sharpies to mark my dies (but don't put it on the side you cut with because I've left "tats" on die cuts with that mistake)

I, too, wish you knew who made that die, even though it's probably not available any longer. Being my family lives in Northern MN, it would be so appropriate. Love your card and thrilled you, Leigh and her family had an awesome day together. Thanks for sharing the pictures! Hope you are OK and just busy, busy. Enjoy summer!
