Just Add Water

Hello friends : )  Today is the first day of  July and the first day of the the new challenge at Serendipity Stamps blog!! The theme this month is:

I have been having loads of fun watercoloring lately so this challenge was no challenge for me : )   As a matter of a fact I had a hard time stopping so I created TWO cards : )

The challenge at Serendipity Stamps blog runs until July 29th.  You can enter as many cards as you like for a chance to win the $20.00 prize!  To be eligible all you need to do is include ONE Serendipity product on your card or project! Easy Peasey when you see all the amazing product they have HERE!! and that's not all : ) in honor of Independence Day! Serendipity Stamps  is having a SALE : ) who doesn't LOVE a sale?

Buy 3 items and the 4th one will be free (be sure you have at least 4 items in your cart!)

Buy 8 items and 2 will be free – and so on, and so on…
Lowest priced items are free
Clearance, $1 Stamps etc are included (but do you want your freebie to be a $1 stamp?)
Good through Monday July 4th

For my first card I colored my background with regular water color paint.  This is a VERY new technique for me. Lately I have had some success and some failure but I'm going to keep practicing because I really love the look.  Next I stamped my image and sentiment.

I wanted the brushes and pencils to really POP so I colored them with my Zigs.  I just love all the bright colors you get with Ziggys! : )  I carried the bright playful colors over when selecting the sequins for my shaker card.

When you visit Serendipity Stamps don't forget to stop in at the Yard Sale!! Where there are loads of great buys including DP for only $1.00.  The pp I used on this card is from one of those bundles : )

I love both this Paint Brush image and the pretty little sentiment so I paired them together for a fun card!  I cut my Tan colored card base a little thinner than an A2 size to give plenty of room for my DP "flag" to wave : ).  I put my water color panel in the trash can LOL and then splattered until my heart's content : ).  Finally I painted my Paint Brush image with Zigs and finished off the brush  tip with a Wink of Stella. A few well placed (not even hiding any boo boos) sequins and Walla! (Which is South Dakotan for Voila!) heeheehee

50% off Stamp of the Month

Isn't this little munchkin sweet? It is summer time and you don't have to ask kids to Just Add Water twice! I don't know what puts a smile on my face quicker than seeing little ones playing in the sprinkler!

I hope I have inspired you to shop! : ) but if you still need some more motivation to visit Serendipity Stamps check out what the rest of the Design Team has prepared to "enable" you!

I hope you will join us at the Serendipity Stamps Blog challenge this month with your take on this theme!
