Hello friends : ) We had another important birthday in our family this week - my favorite brother!! ... (ok he is my only brother but he is still my favorite!!) celebrated his birthday yesterday. Here is the card I made for him : )
Not the card I sent to him... just the card I made for him! Sigh!!... so on my first card I used a red ink for the sentiment but I didn't like how it looked against the green so I made another card with the black sentiment. You may find it odd that I would re-make a card that was not quite perfect for "just a brother" but my brother once told me he loves my cards and saves every one I make for him. Every since then I make sure any card I send is awesome! : )
Well as it turns out I was not paying attention and the card with the red sentiment is the one that I wrote out and mailed : ( I was disappointed but I doubt he'll even notice! I tell ya this guy would be YOUR favorite brother if you knew him too!!
Another easy peasy card to create. I masked off the area for my little crazy dog scene. I started by stamping the dog and making a mask for him. I covered him up and then inked up both my grass and my sky. I removed the mask and colored him with Prisma pencils. I gave him a Wink of Stella on his collar and eye balls : ) and then stamped the sentiment! see.... easy peasy! : )
I hope you are having a good week so far! I've been super busy working in my scarf business this week gearing up for a BIG sale and new release next week : )
Thanks a bunch for stopping by! Have a great day : )

Love the perplexed look on this dogs face, I have a favourite brother, and my only as well!. Now posting the wrong card is exacltly what I would have done. I shudder to think how many times I have sent the wrong txt to the wrong person :). All the best with your new release I must head over and check out your store.
Such a fabulous image and gorgeous blending on the background. Great you wanted your card to your brother to be perfect but I suspect that the red sentiment looks fabulous too and picked up the crazy dog's collar x
Awwww, that's so sweet! I had 5 brothers growing up and each one is my favorite. Just don't tell the other one. ;) Seriously though, your card is amazing and I think it's wonderful that you wanted it just so. I think it was perfect and "someone" wanted you to send the one you sent. He will love it! Your inking is gorgeous and those silly faces can't help but make someone smile. Good luck getting done all that you need to, Patti! I suspect you are just getting to an extremely busy time of year for your business. Hugs!
Aww, your crazy dog is adorable and your brother will love his card! This is such a cute image!
Crazy cute card Patti and I'm sure your brother didn't mind the card with the red sentiment! Love, love, LOVE your coloring and shading on this card and that dog is just perfect for the sentiment you used! Think I'm going to have to break down and buy that set! (or maybe borrow my girlfriend Sue's set...hmmmmm, there's an idea!!) :0)
Your card is adorable, Patti! Sounds like your brother is amazing! I am sure the colour of the sentiment won't make any difference to him at all! My family tell me they keep all my cards too and it's a nice feeling! My parents even have a special box (or two!) where they keep them after they are done displaying them.
What a funny sentiment and dog.. that face is way too cute. I always love your humor. I love that guy too.. Happy Birthday Jr
This is a fantastic guy card--that dog is adorable. I had to laugh about your 'favorite brother' I have one brother and one sister, and I would always tell my brother that he was my favorite brother, and wasn't I his favorite sister!
I love the way you say....an easy card to make...not for me! All that masking would be a nightmare for me but you do it with style. He looks such a cheeky little dog. I am sure your Brother will love his card and keep it along with all the others x
How sweet that he saves every card and how sweet that you make his cards extra awesome!! Love this one Patti, such a cute pup!!
Patti my commenting has been kind of sporadic lately, but kids are back to college so my life resumes. This is so adorable, I love these new TH dogs, the look on his face says it all! Love the clouds in the background.
What a great card for your brother! The sentiment and the dog go together perfectly!!
The crazy dogs are at the top of my wishlist, love this card you made for your brother!
How adorable he is and your card is awesome. I love how you colored that crazy dog and made the sky background to showcase him. Your brother will love this card. I know I sure do.
LOL!! Now how stinkin' cute is this!! Love that fun pup image and you've made a fantastic design with him too! :) I'm sure your brother will enjoy it as well!! HUGS
I, too, have a favourite and only brother, who is the dad to my darling niece and nephew. Even though I'm 14 years older than he is, he still treats me as his 'little' sister, and I'm glad he does! The kiddos think it's hilarious that "daddy" teases Aunty c relentlessly (and, on occasion, despite my screaming protests, scoops me up and carries me over his shoulder!) Me being a big sister works to advantage with sweet Ms. T, who's also a big sister; we've had many discussions about how goofy little brothers can be! Your card: awesome! Such a precious expression on the dog's face and oh, what a lovely scene you've set him in! How wonderful your brother treasures your cards, as my brother does mine. We're lucky sisters, aren't we!
Hugs~c
Oh, this is so fun!
Its adorable and I love his face and the colors you ended up with! You always get it right! Happy birthday to your brother!
LOVE this crazy dog stamp from TH! This B-Day card for your favorite brother is fabulous, Patti! And he sounds like a very special guy deserving of a wonderful Birthday celebration and your fun card ;-)
Love the shading and the dog is just charming. You make all the items you use desirable and I would love to have them all. But there is not enough time in the day, days in the week or weeks in the month to make as many wonderful things as you do with these supplies! Keep up the great work.
Heee I'm sure you already knew that I was gonna LOVE this card Patti, I feel a CASE coming on ;)
My Aunt in Canada told me once that she keeps a folder of my cards - her eyesight isn't the best but she gets out her magnifying glass so she can see them properly, so I try to make hers extra special too!
