Hola Nieta : )

translated: Hello Granddaughter

We've sort of been adopted by a family from Cancun and with it comes the remarkable privilege of being called Abuelos! (grandparents) by, Melina, the sweetest little ten year old girl.  She sent us a picture of herself and a letter written in Spanish! Neither my husband or I speak a word of Spanish so... thank You Lord! for "Google Translate" : )

My card for her was inspired by Dawn McVey's challenge for this weeks "Make It Monday" at Papertrey Ink. The challenge: to create a pattern behind a die cut window.

It may be a little early for the children in Custer, South Dakota to head for the beach but at Melina's house it's too hot to stay at home : )

I hope you have fun plans for the day.  I'm off to the movies to see "Gifted"  with my BFF.

How sweet is this?!! I adore the little bear she's drawn, and your "nieta" is as cute as can be! I know she's going to be tickled to get this darling card in the mail! All the details and the pretty, summery colors are just right for a ten year old. I know she'll think, "that looks just like me!!" Adorable card! Have a great weekend my friend. Bev

Awwwww...what a sweet card for Melina! I'm sure she is going to love receiving "happy mail" from you, and you can never have too many grandkids!! Such a perfect image to be peeking out from behind your lovely stenciled window too...makes me wish it were warm enough to go swimming here, but is only in the 30's here this morning! Oh well, it will warm up at some point!! :0)

You've created a darling card for Melina, Patti. She'll be thrilled with the card that looks like she's saying Hi from an ocean of stenciled waves.

How sweet that you've been 'adopted', and by such a sweet and obviously creative 'grand-daughter'! Melina's bear, with the heart tummy, is adorable! As for your card: sheer delight! That smile she has in her photo will be transformed to mega-watt brilliance once she receives it! Lucky gal to have such amazing Abuelos! Oh, to have a beach where we are; actually, to have warm weather where we are would be fantastic! Snowing today...again! At least it's melting, but still...enough already! Hope the 'May flowers' won't be frightened away!
Hugs~c
