Seeing White

My husband, Bob, and I spent six weeks in Arizona and New Mexico starting at the end of February.  One of the highlights of the trip was seeing the White Sands National Monument in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

We left South Dakota to get out of the snow and cold but we didn't stay away long enough because we woke up to a blanket of snow this morning... the THIRD time this has happened since arriving home a few weeks ago! UGH!! Where is spring?!

I created two springy cards using some of my favorite product from Serendipity Stamps.

My designs were inspired from this weeks sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch!

I hope you have some spring in your neck of the woods!! We are looking at a full week of some pretty icky weather but I have faith that Spring can't be too far away!

Thank you for stopping by : )

Hi Patti, what lovely cards...and photos too! It's got very chilly here too: one day we're in tee shirts and the next winter sweaters! No snow though thankfully, take care, hugs Carole Z xx

Beautiful Patti! I love how you lifted the cuts of the Floral Background just a bit for a 3D effect! The photos of White Sands are amazing - I had no idea how WHITE it all is - duh - guess I should have known. But your photos really show the effect.

Oh those first two photos are wonderful. Gives a great look at the sands. Amazing. Your two cards are fabulous! I really like the white against the pink. Helps the design stand out beautifully. So sorry to hear you keep getting snow! This last week or so our weather has been a bit rainy. But I'll bet you'd take rain over snow about now. They are talking snow, too, but it won't stick if it does. Hugs!!

And I just LOVE seeing your name pop up in my sidebar again that you're posting...just makes me smile from ear to ear!! :0)

Your cards are gorgeous and so are your photos. And, sorry you had to get some more snow. So far we have not had any in our part of South Dakota but it sure is cold. We did get some rain overnight though. And, once again, I am so happy to see your beautiful artwork and posts. It just fills me with joy!

Sounds like your weather is mimicking ours! The photos of the white beaches...oh my! Gorgeous...and speaking of gorgeous: your two cards are precisely that! Love the flowers/floral butterfly pairing, especially (as you knew I would, given my obsession for butterflies!). White and pink...yummy! The second is equally as eye-catching; the black makes everything POP! Awesome to see your creativity in fine, fabulous, fantastic form!

Oh, nothing like a hot prink on your pretty cards to brighten up a grey day (in Oregon a month of rain, it seems). What fascinating photos of the sand dunes too. We spent half of January and all February in southern AZ and CA. Nice to be warmer although many said it was the coldest, wettest winter they had had in years thus desert flowers this spring. PS your robot checker is making me go through 4-5 sets of photos in order to post. ;-(

These cards are just beautiful. If spring won't come to South Dakota then you must bring spring to your cards! Love the vibrant colors and that butterfly die is gorgeous. (I don't NEED another butterfly die, but maybe I do)!!
