Waddle in and join me for Fun Friday with Patti & Penny

Keeping it Simple! today both here and at the Penny Black Primary Blog.

How ya feeling? have you had enough fudge?! (like there could ever be enough fudge!) Well fudge or no fudge I'm happy and blessed that you are here because YOU make MY heart happy!! : )

I'm sure by now you have seen the "Happy Heart Day" collection by Penny Black but just in case you missed it you can see the entire collection HERE.

On this Fun, after Christmas, Friday I wanna share three super simple cards that are sure to make happy hearts of those who receive them : )

I think you will agree that this card is pretty straight forward and needs no explanation but allow me to point out that the train is attached using foam tape for some sweet dimension.  Easy peasy to create using the following supplies: Love Train #51-487, Stitched XOXO #51-486 and Happy Hugs #30-524.

My next card was fun for me as it was inspired by a memory of a heart shaped box of candy. When I was in the second grade my father came home with a very large heart shaped box of candy for my mother and taped to the top of the box were five little boxes of "Conversation Hearts" candy for each of his five daughters.  : )

I masked off a rectangle in the center of the red card stock and sponged some red ink on to it.  I stamped my sentiment from "Kisses & Wishes" #30-528 in black ink and attached it to my white card base. Then I cut the largest heart shaped balloon from "Heart Balloons" #51-493 and glued down a portion of the die cut from "Floral Half" #51-445 over the balloon.  My string was created from the "Love and Miss You" #51-494 die.

I will be sending this card to my Dad for Valentines Day.  I doubt he'll remember that day but I know I will never forget it. : )

Speaking of inspiration... look at this adorable little Havanese puppy my sister just got.  Her name is Sophie, she weighs just 4.3 pounds and she has stolen our hearts!!

I'm pretty sure Sophie was not the model for Penny Black's newest little puppy but they are equally as cute and capable of stealing my heart!

"Key To My Heart" #30-523, "Stitched XOXO" #51-486, "Happy Hugs" #30-524 and "Key Cut out" #51-495 were all used to create this happy card.  These and the entire happy Heart Day product release can be purchased at the Penny Black Store HERE.

I hope you had a wonderful celebration with your friends and family.  Thanks a bunch for stopping by and enjoy your weekend my friends!

Your cards are all delightful Patti. I love the story of the box of candy, how sweet of your dad to add those 5 little boxes! I'm afraid your sister's adorable puppy steals the spotlight tonight. When we got our little mini schnauzer Max I was determined I was going to bring home a little girl and call her Sophie. But when I saw the runt of the litter, whom they had dubbed Mister Softie because of his triple coat, I came home with my sweet beautiful boy Maximus!

Well, your little fur ball Sophie grabbed my heartstrings as well as the card and story of your Dad's Valentine candy boxes! Love how your theme of red, white and black worked its way down the page also! Happy New Year, dear, just in case we don't see each other before hand.

Patti, I adore that Valentine memory of yours... but did you have to tease me with the fudge? OH my I do love it and resisted making a batch of my own = Tom doesn't like it!
Another three darling cards, Patti! I adore that little train... almost as much as your sister's pup!

Your cards are all so adorable, Patti! The little train die-cut is so cute! I love the heart balloon and little huggy bear too!

Sophie is precious! Our smallest cat Snowie weighs about 5.5 lb so I know how tiny Sophie is if she's smaller than Snowie! Sooooo cuuuuute! No wonder she has stolen your hearts! She has stolen mine too! Happy 2019 to you, my friend!
