Just a quickie

Just a quick post today - I'm still exhausted from yesterday's post! : )

Here is a card I made using what has become my favorite color combo.  I used Doodlie-do Stamp Set by PTI and colored the images using Prisma Color Pencils and Gamsol Mineral Spirits.

I have not been able to get into the terrific Copic Markers craze simply because of the expense. I use the colored pencils and blend them with Gamsol and a blending stump.  This has long been my coloring preference.  It is easy peasy and much cheaper!

I created several of the Doodlie-do die cuts and placed them in a few different ways on three cards.

Before I sign off today I will share a picture I took of one of our neighbors! : )

Big Horn Sheep are prevalent here in the Black Hills. Most of the time we see them in Custer State Park but sometimes on my way to Rapid  City I will see some just having lunch along the side of the road.

Thanks a  bunch for stopping by and have a great day!
Patti

Love your quickie!! Beautiful. Who needs markers when you can color even better with pencils!! You can have my markers next time I see you. I like your coloring better.
I love the bighorn. Great picture! Too bad we did not see any this close up. Have to get a zoom lens for my camera.
By the way the storm that hit that other cruise ship was going to the same place we would have been going so MISSING OUR FLIGHTS AND SHIP made us choose PLAN B which was a much nicer experience than high waves and being confined to a cabin. Thanks for making PLAN B so wonderful. We will be back!

Totally beautiful set of cards, Patti. This is one of my fave color schemes too. Prismacolor pencils are my choice for water-coloring, although, I am not as good as you at it yet(I'm still learning :-)
WOW, that's a cool Bighorn sheep you photographed!

I have missed your lovely cards! I love these colors and what you did with this stamp set. I looked at these stamps and thought, I can't make anything with them, so I passed them by. But now that I see your card, I wish I wouldn't have! Beautiful all the way around!

Whoa, that handsome fellow made me forget all about your cards there for a second! How wonderful it must be to live in God's own backyard! You are already inspiring me, Patti! First, you used my favorite color combo, too, and secondly, I have so many of those whimsical stamp designs which I've never used. I'm pinning this one! And finally, what great coloring with pencils! I never got into Copics either and I have lots of colored pencils and the stumps and stuff but - you guessed it - I've never done more than straight coloring with them. I have to watch a few videos on how to use the gamsol and stumps for blending like you've done here!! Hugs, Darnell
