Day three in a week with Penny Black and a Birthday wish!

Day three for me featured on the main Penny Black Blog. Highlighting some terrific product from Penny Black's Sweet Spring 2018 release.

I love spring!! it cannot come soon enough for me but while there are still some frosty days outside here is a splash of color to keep you warm while wait : )

I want to point out that this flower die was cut from white card stock.  I sponged both orange and yellow ink trying for a slight Ombre effect.  Really opens up color possibilities huh!? : )

I also wanted to join Blogland in wishing Time Out Challenges a very Happy 4th Birthday!!

All the brightest sunshine, best love and contagious laughter to you Time Out!!

Here are links to the supplies I used for your shopping convenience : )

Flower Flourish #51-421

Frames #51-410

Holiday Snippets #30-307

Ok, this doesn't have ANYTHING to do with Penny Black or cards or Spring or anything but I heard the cutest joke the other day and I just had to share! : )

Six year old Katelyn and her four-year old brother, Joshua, were sitting together in church.  Joshua giggled, sang and talked out loud.  Finally, his big sister had had enough.  "you're not supposed to talk out loud in church!"

"Why? who's going to stop me?" Joshua asked.

Katelyn pointed to the back of the church and said, "See those two men standing by the door? They're hushers"

Heeheehee that cracks me up!! and just so you grandmas know - the names have been changed to protect the guilty!  : )

That is all for me today - please check back again tomorrow for more from Sweet Spring 2018!

BIG (((HUGS)))

heehee... that's so cute! Thanks for my morning chuckle Patti. You always brighten my day! Your card is so pretty and I love that you ink blended the colors on. Yes, the color possabilities are endless when done like that. I really like those little frames too. I'm thinking they need to find their way into my cart soon. Thanks for enabling me today too!
P.s. I'm hoping for spring to come on the east coast as much as you are. ;0)

Beautiful card, Patti. Love the curves of the flower and how it nestles by the frame. The inking of the flower is lovely. I really like the ombre effect you achieved. The frame is so pretty. Wonderful design. And that joke is adorable, too. Made me smile! Kids are great. Hope you have a lovely day.

That joke is so cute and one I can definitely hear young children saying. That reminds me of the Shirley Goodness and Mercy joke. Anyway you have made a lot of beautiful cards just using that simple frame and lovely flower die, Patti.
