I won this stamp!!

I won this stamp and a second rubber stamp, "Relaxing Bubbles",  in a challenge contest with THIS CARD from the Awwwww-mazing gals at House Mouse and Friends Challenge Blog : )

Before I show off my new stamp please join me in welcoming my newest follower → Stamp Smiles.  Thank you Vicki for following me.  Please take a few minutes to blurf over and see Vicki's blog and tell her Patti sent you! : )

House Mouse and Friends Challenge blog is serving up another fun challenge:
"AMETHYST (any shade of PURPLE) White, plus 1 other Colour "

I wanted to use this circle and scallop frame to really show off the sweetness of this ROUND and chubby Gruffie but in doing so I would be cutting off the lilac sprig on the lower right.  So I carefully masked the flower and omitted it from my main image but then reversing my mask I stamped only the lilac sprig onto white card stock so that I could use it on the inside of my card.

I once read a quote - I do not know who the author was - but it read "God gave us memories so that we could have roses in December".  Well, the same could definitely be said of Lilacs, one of my favorite flowers.  I can almost smell the beautiful fragrance even though it is February and we are still buried under several feet of snow!

Please visit the House Mouse and Friends Challenge Blog and consider joining the fun!!When you do don't forget to leave some Love!! : )

Thanks again to America and the whole team at House Mouse and Friends for my free stamps : )

Beautiful coloring of your "win" stamp. Love that it fit the challenge this time and you joined in. Love lilacs, can just smell that sweet aroma. James A. Barrie quote, love it. Thanks for joining us at the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge, nicely done.

Hugs
Sue

PS: Have a Godchild that lives in Lockport along with my best friend since we were children. Did you used to go sledding on the hills at the Lockport Golf Course in winter? We did! My Dad was a foreman on the locks for many years also.

I love House Mouse stamps -- I don't own any of the bears or bunnies though, just mice!

Beautiful job masking the lilacs out and using them on the inside. Such a lovely card with attention on the main focus. :) Hugs, Kelly

Wow this is beautiful and I love how you masked and stamped twice. I love this chubby little guy in the circle. This was the perfect challenge for him. I also love lilacs, but don't have good luck with them. My grandmother used to have the most gorgeous bush right near her kitchen window. What an outstanding aroma that was to having coming into her kitchen. Thanks for playing along with us for this challenge at House Mouse & Friends. We loved having you and hope to see you again soon. Enjoy your day.
