Fun Friday - Fun and Funky!

Today is my last feature on the Penny Black blog with my Fun Friday posts! Today we are bringing you some fun and funky projects we hope you'll really enjoy!

Before I get to the projects I would like to encourage you to read the entire post so that you won't miss out on the chance to win the BLOG CANDY I am giving away.

I have created some ornaments using Butterfly dies by simply die cutting two each of each butterfly and gluing them together with some string sandwiched in between just at the body.  As you can see I have dolled them up a bit.  I will explain more and give a link to the product I used in the pictures below. ALL the ornaments were cut from water color paper.

For this one I began by cutting the large butterfly in #51-132 Flights of Fancy. I Stamped #40-440 Elegance in motion image on both butterflies and embossed them with silver Embossing Powder. Next I glued the two butterflies together sandwiching some white string in between. finally I embellished it with three teal rhinestones : ) To give you some perspective this butterfly is about 2.5" high and 3" wide.

I created a matching gift tag using the same #51-132 Flights of Fancy Creative Die. For this little tag I used one of the smaller, very detailed, butterflies.  I stamped the To: and From: from #30-307 Holiday Snippets.

This little sweetie is about 1.75" high and 2" wide.  In the same manner I cut two butterflies from 51-110 Flicker & Flutter - stamped them with a snowflake from #30-307 Holiday Snippets.  The word Joy is also from Holiday Snippets.  I colored the snowflake with a hint of Red and Aqua. And glued them together - this one with a Copper Thread from my stash.

This one might be my favorite.  I water colored a wash of Turquoise using Zig Clean Color Ink.  Then I stamped a sentiment from #30-307 Holiday Snippets  a couple of times and finally embellished his head with a Turquoise Nail Head.  I made a couple of little gift tags to compliment this ornament.

This lovely detailed butterfly #51-137 Swirling Wings measures about 2.5 high and 3.5 wide.  Again, I laid a Turquoise wash on the butterfly on the top only of each die cut.  I assembled it the same and added a red rhinestone.  As you can see these are very simple and very elegant! : )

Next up in the Fun and funky category : ) is a fun little shaker card.  I simply cut three circle shapes for the Shaker feature - assembled it and finally added the #51-257 Jingle All The Way Creative die and I was done : ) Clean and simple - Super Fun! and a tiny bit funky : )

Last but by no means least this card.  I started with an A2 card cut from white cs.  Next I cut a tag from #51-007 Tagged.  I stamped an image from #30-381 Festive Cheer in black ink an then laid a Turquoise wash (noticing a pattern here?) just behind the word "Cheer" to make it pop! I added some interest to the tag with supplies from my stash.  Before popping up my tag and attaching it to the card I ink splattered! : ) Finally I placed my pretty little sequins and this FuN card was finished.

And my Fun Friday with Patti Kehl feature is finished as well.  Hopefully you have read my original post HERE.  In it I explain that I am personally giving away $25.00 in FREE Penny Black product as a way of thanking my friends, family and followers for your support.
