The theme this week at CASology is.... you guessed it! PINK : )
I started with a panel of Pink Pirouette cs and sponged some Regal Rose ink to give it an Ombre effect. Once I had the color applied I cut out my beautiful Daisy Border Die from Serendipity Stamps and set it aside. Next I attached my pink panel to the gray card base. I cut another border die from white paper leaving some of the flower centers in tact and just taking out the centers of the vines - glued it over the first border die I cut. I glued it carefully to the card taking care to leave the very top of the border unglued so that you can see all three colors peeking out.
I really love this border from Serendipity! it is so light and delicate but cuts through paper like butter - nice and clean! And speaking of Serendipity Stamps they happen to be the sponsors at CASology this week offering a prize! woo hoo.
Along with the chance to win $20 from Serendipity with the CASology challenge I am also entering the Serendipity Stamps Challenge blog for their monthly challenge - "Embossing" where there is another chance for a $20 prize!! My EP says that it is silver : ( but it really is more of a a pearly white. I tried to get a picture close and clear enough to see but the sentiment reads:
It's a Time for New Beginnings
Don't fail to join both these challenges to double your chance of winning some great product!!
I had a wonderful time shopping with my husband yesterday! I even got to buy some crafty supplies : ) One of which, Wink of Stella, is a new to me product that I have some questions about! I needed to take a picture of my question LOL so I will post it tomorrow hoping all you crafty gals will have a suggestion or two for me.
TGIF right?? where did THAT week go!!
Thank you for stopping by!

Such a pretty card..That die is beautiful and love how you've left some of it in and worked with the layers...so very clever x Those colours are perfect together and your nephew is going to love it! Glad the shopping was a success...x A very unique and fabulous card x
Beautifully done. Love all that pink.. Glad you had fun with your Sweetie and mostly glad you got to buy more goodies :)
Hwy Pattie! Thanks for the prayers..my headache is gone:)) You bless me with your comments.
Now the grey compliments PINK in this card so well, It's soft and lovely! My experience with Wink Os Stella of happens to be more GLOB than a wink:/ I think I squeezed it too much one day and now its a mess! I now glob it on the craft mat, take a waterbrush to apply it to my projects.
Patti your sponging is just beautiful and your card is so delicate! Thank you for sharing with us at CASology this week!

This is such a pretty wedding card, Patti. I'm guessing your nephew and his bride will love this. The embossed sentiment is so delightfully subtle, and lets that border just shine. So lovely. Bev

Fab wedding card, that die cut is so pretty :)
What a gorgeous card, and so much to love--your ombre sponging, the pink with grey, your beautiful die cut border, and that subtle embossed sentiment, to just name a few. Thanks so much for playing along at CASology this week.
Absolutely gorgeous, Patti! I adore pink & gray together & that border is wonderful! You'll love WOS--at least I do. Must say, I should have just stuck to the clear as I never use the other 2 colors I have.
