That's not funny! and some Blog Candy!!

Why did the strawberry cross the road?.....
Because it’s Mom was in a jam

Hello friends this post is embarrassing to write!  Almost as soon as I posted that we had found THE perfect home in New Mexico we learned the owners were returning from overseas and would not be renting the home after all.

I had just finished packing up my entire crafty space too!!

I need some smiles friends can you help?

I went searching on my computer for the picture of this funny card I created about 10 years ago.  My picture taking "studio" has improved with time so this picture is funky but I doctored up the lighting in Photoshop and it looks ok I guess. It makes me laugh and that is what I need most right now : )

I am extending an invitation to all my bloggy friends to join my pity party my Linky party!! Please post your fun and funny cards to make me laugh. Each entry comes with the chance to win my blog candy!! : )

The party will continue through August 6th.  I suspect I will need that many laughs once I resume my search for the "real" perfect home!! : ) I know God has a treasure in His pocket for us so, while we are disappointed, we acknowledge Him and know if that had actually been THE perfect home for us we'd be moving in to it : )

About the prize... : ) can you trust me? it'll be nice!! I have not decided if I will give away some of my treasured NBUS or if I will give away a gift certificate.  If the winner is out of the US then I am fairly certain it will be a gift certificate - simply for the ease in shipping.  Either way if you GOTTA know! I will come back and post a picture otherwise be excited and show me your funniest cards!

There is no limit to how many times you can enter.  The Linky will close at midnight MST on August 6th.

Thank you friends and thank you in advance for all the giggles!!

BIG (((HUGS)))

Fudge Bars! as my mom used to say. Well, that door closed and there's bound to be one opening letting in all the NM flies and lizards. I'm so sorry but you keep trusting Jesus to find you that perfect spot. I'll start looking for a zinger of a stamp but that may involve a purchase.

Oh golly, I am so sorry you have to deal with this. I have faith that you will land the perfect spot as if it were meant to be. You have a tremendous faith and it won't fail you. Cute card. What a great idea for a bit of a contest. I hope you get lots of smiles. How about a big virtual hug in the mean time? Hugs!!!

I see this as an opportunity for a little extra time to travel... to Michigan, perhaps?
You will find your 'perfect' home, Patti - I believe, too!

How disappointing for you but I think an even more perfect home will be shown to you instead. Stay strong and filled with faith that the Lord will provide.

I'm so sorry for your disappointment, Patti. I do think you are right, however, it just wasn't meant for you. These things happen for a reason, so hang in there! Here's a smile:

One morning as Professor Thompson was leaving for the college his wife told her absent-minded husband, “Don’t forget we are moving today. If you come to this house this afternoon it will be empty.”

Predictably he didn’t remember until he found the house vacated that afternoon. He mumbled to himself, “And where was it we were moving to?”

He went out in front of the house and asked a little girl, “Did you see a moving van here today, little girl?”

“Yes,” she replied.

“Can you tell me which way it went?”

She looked up at him and said, “Yes, Daddy, I’ll show you.”

And for your one-liners: What four-legged animal can jump higher than a house?

Houses can't jump!

Big hugs, Darnell

Oh no, Patti! And after all that work to pack up your craftroom! I do like your attitude and totally agree with you. The right home will come along according to God's plan and it will be the perfect home for you. This one was not the right one. I hope to link up a card or two to make you smile. Question: Are we to make new cards or search through our older cards for a gem like you did? Your ginger snap card is super cute!

I agree with you and all the others: something more wonderful lies just beyond the horizon and it will make an appearance soon! Guaranteed! Great to see your sense of humour hasn't been tainted by this experience; your gingerbread girl makes me chuckle! Now I have a craving for gingerbread *grin*! I'll be adding a card to your linky soon; it's awaiting a DT showcase...
