Keeping it Simple

Hello friends : )

Today I am being featured on the Primary Penny Black blog where you will see a few cards that I created to showcase Penny Black's newest release, "Happy Heart Day".  I won't duplicate them all here in this post but perhaps you will have time to pop over to see my other cards.  I hope you'll like them as much as I do. : )

But so you don't think I got you here under false pretenses let me share a couple cards I created using this cutie patootie.   Isn't she just huggable!?

On my first card I colored  the image with my Copic Markers!! grin. I'm having fun with the Copics that's for sure!!  I tilted the card so you could see the little bee buzzing around inside.

For my next card I used Prisma Pencils and Gamsol to blend the image.   If you know me you know I tend to use soft, light colors on my cards but I have to tell you the results you get from Copic markers have me getting in touch with my BRIGHT SIDE!! : )

Wanna hear a true confession now?  I didn't color her hair!.... on either card! I was scared. I hope by the time they go in the mail I will have practiced hair enough to color it in. Gulp.

No matter how you color her though this little gal is darling!!

If you have time, don't forget to stop by the primary Penny Black Blog for more from PB's awesome new release.

Have a great day.

BIG (((HUGS)))

Oh, she is a real cutie! Great coloring, too! So funny about the hair, I like it uncolored! The detail in the stamp already shaded it for you. Such great card designs, Patti!

Oh my goodness Patti, she is SO precious!! I am so impressed with how well you are doing with your Copics....they're very addictive and this is what I tend to grab the most any time I color, but I'm so thrilled to see the pencil used on this too!! I love the soft colors as well and are drawn to them alot of the time. That poka dotted background is just darling!! Thanks for sharing these wonderful makes my friend! HUGS

These cards are so wonderful and fun! Great coloring with both mediums you used too. And, no need to color the hair. She looks awesome without coloring it.
