Thankful for you

Hello friends : ) How is November treating you so far? This is our first New Mexico fall and we are loving it!! Today my husband and I took a 9 mile bike ride.  It was 75 here today! Thank you Jesus!!

I thought I would share a card I made that I would like to enter in one of my favorite challenges.

I wanted a CAS, faux one layer, card that appeared to have dimension. Starting with a Cream colored A2 panel I stamped my sentiment and then scored a line underneath to accentuate the sentiment without adding bulk. Unfortunately the score line is not super easy to see in the picture.  Next I die cut my sprig of foliage. I set the die aside for a future project and then mounted the Cream panel to a Kraft card base.

Inside I added a Cream panel and stamped the image directly on to it.  I added my sentiment and now it is ready to send to someone I am VERY grateful for : )

The "Inspired by Words"  challenge at Time Out Challenges is:

I'm so very grateful for the friends the Lord has brought in to my life. : )

I hope you will consider playing along with the Time Out Challenge.  Please don't fail to check out the blogs of the talented DT .  You'll be so inspired!

This card is beautiful, I love how you scored under your sentiment! Sounds like you burned a fair few calories with your bike ride, I used to love biking and have looked at buying a bike a few times over the last year but then remember how upset my dogs would be if I went biking instead of walking with them :).

I'm so grateful for you, Patti. Your cards are beautiful. You have a wonderfully creative eye for deceptively simple looking designs that take quite a bit of talent to pull off. You know what to keep and what to take away. I'm so happy your move and new life are agreeing with you so well. 9 miles sounds like a lot, but I'll bet you enjoyed every minute of it. Hugs!

That is such a beautiful CAS design. I love the way you take the simple route and create a magnificent thing of beauty. I love the kraft and white colors together too. Wow! Sounds like lovely weather for a Fall day if you can go bike riding. Watch out for all those rattlers and poisonous spiders too. I think you said they love that part of the country.

I love how you add simple touches like your scored line to bring an extra layer of fabulousness to your cards, and so nice to be mirrored on the inside too :)
