Taking TIME OUT to be Merry!

Hello friends : )

I finished all my Christmas cards finally! I am reminded of the value of making Christmas cards throughout the year as opposed to waiting to do most of them in December.  I know I would still want to save some for December but making "onsies and twosies" is more fun than twelvesies!! ya know?

I decided to join the Time Out challenge - "Merry & Cheerful" with two of my cards that surely have a Merry & Cheerful theme! I love challenges even though I have not joined very many this year! I don't know if it is a "resolution" but I sure am going to try to joining more challenges in the coming year. : ) There is still time - I hope to see you in the Time Out gallery this week.

I wish you could see the coating of Wink of Stella covering the little snow penguin! the fact that it doesn't photograph well is the ONLY bad think about WOS.  : )  The blue clouds don't show up either but if you strain you can picture them there. : )

Here is an old favorite snowman stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps and a couple new favorite products from Penny Black.  Sadly when I searched for the link to this stamp set I couldn't find it in the Peachy Keen shop but here is a link to their shop anyway just in case you want to contact them to see if they could get it for you.

Thanks a bunch for stopping by.  I hope you feel more Merry & Cheerful than you did before you arrived! Have a wonderful day.

BIG (((hugs)))

We have missed you being around and hope you join us more next year! Oh I had a laugh at your second card! Love the idea he has drunk too much and fallen down for a nap! So fun and so beautifully CAS with that pretty frame. Thanks for joining Time Out

Adorable cards, Patti! I hear you on resolving to working on Christmas cards prior to December! I can imagine how sparkly those sweet penguins are. The red ink you use is one of the most perfect shades of red I think I've seen. That sloshed or tired (or both} snowman is so funny. Love how you colored both these cards and the detail in the edges of the focal frames. Wonderful work! Happy hugs!

Ha Ha! Your two cards are so fun, Patti! I love the tipsy snowman! Wink of Stella is the best helper except for photography times. Still decluttering, haven't begun boxing yet! ;-O

What a deliciously crisp, CAS duo, Patti ... and both so fun! Those penguins (and shimmery snow penguin) are hilarious ... and that happy snowman is a cutie ... sure looks as though he's been eating, drinking and getting merry ... so, time to nap! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Anita :)

These are such adorable cards! I especially love the penguin one. My ten-year-old son is in love with penguins right now and he would just giggle to no end if he saw that one. Have a good day!

These are darling!! I love that penguin card!! I actually got lucky this year and was able to send out a photo card with my daughter on it. I don't have many years left I can do this so I need to start making cards now to send. I figured out I send out 80 cards a year and that will take me forever to make!!!

Chuckled with the second fun card Patti and don't those adorable penguins on the first card look like they are having so much fun? x.

Oh dear, I'd told myself I was going to cut back on my crafting spend, but I think I NEED to go shopping for that penguin stamp! One of the pitfalls of visiting your blog hahaha ;)

These are both so cute, Patti. I haven't heard about Peachy Keen since I bought several face sets years ago. I still have them but need to get rid of them as I haven't used them since I gave up the Cricut for stamping.
