Happy Birthday Peony

Hello friends : )

My BFF's Mom's will celebrate her birthday next week.  I created this card for her.  Almost everyone appreciates handmade cards. That fact is really just frosting on the cake because I would probably make cards even if no one liked them but me LOL! but sometimes you find someone who really appreciates them!! : ) This dear woman is one of those people!

I love these "brushstroke" images by Penny Black.  They make me feel like an artist! : )

Have a wonderful day!! and thanks a bunch for stopping by.

BIG (((hugs)))

Supplies:
Peony #40-537 by Penny Black
Wonky Stitched Rectangle by My Favorite Things
Sentiment is a retired PTI stamp

At Christmastime, I give our kids and grown-up grandkids boxes of cards that I've made. They usually run out by mid-year and let me know how much they love to give them! I can understand the joy that just knowing someone appreciates the cards you make! This one is certainly beautiful, and I just know your BFF's mom is going to love it. It's bright, happy and that image is wonderful. And...you ARE an artist! Bev

What a stunning card Patti - love the big but delicate stamped image, and the touch of purple in the one bloom is perfect

I know what you mean when you say you would give a hand made card anyway. It makes me happy too. This card is so light and airy and has a great artsy look to it. Like a dreamy Monet painting. Love it and I am sure your BFF mom will as well.

Gorgeous Patti! It's not just the stamps that make you look like an artist, you truly have an eye for detail, color and design. YOU ARE an artist!

Beautiful!!! Love the colors. And I know what you mean about finding people who really appreciate your efforts. But, I have to say even without this stamp, you ARE an artist! You create the most beautiful cards with paper and ink. That's amazing! I do know what you meant by your comment, but I wanted to tell you I consider you an artist for sure. Hope you have a happy day!

You ARE an artist, dear woman! And anyone who wouldn't be delighted to receive a gorgeous handmade card like this one is dead. Simply put! Hugs, Darnell

This is so gorgeous and I love the beautiful colors. And, I know the same feeling as you....when I use them I feel like an artist. But like another gal said we are artists in our own way. We take those stamps and apply our own way of using them to create gorgeous designs. I know you certainly did that.

Well, I agree with Darnell, you would have to be dead not to adore this card! Your color choices, placement of the stamps and the wonky lines on the label are just a few of the details that make your design exquisite. Hugs

I'm never sure how people feel about my cards (except family) but like you I'd make them anyway, Patti. It's killing me to not be able to make any for at least two months while my hand is splinted and then casted. This card is lovely and the purple center really makes it stand out.
