Ha I think I'm "Punny" today! : ) Laurie Willison form Papertrey Ink is the hostess for Make It Monday this week challenging us to draw Score Lines on our cards.
I have tried this technique in the past and really love how it turns out. I find it a little bit tricky when I don't start my scoring lines at the edge of the cs but I got it : )
I colored my image using a recent MIM tip by sponging my rind and leaves with different colored ink.
My image and sentiment are from a Papertrey Ink set called Scent-imentals. This sweet set has been on my wish list for a long time and when I read that it was "going to the Vault" I knew I had better not wait any longer.
I stamped the image directly on the face of my card and then fussy cut out the watermelon and leaves. There is a die for cutting these out but I wanted a closer cut. I popped up the watermelon and added the extra leaves on top of the stamped leaves only putting a dab of glue so the leaves have more dimension.
Please be sure to watch Laurie's MIM video HERE and then consider stopping by Laurie's blog - she always has the greatest tips to share like today when she uses Press N Seal to aid her gluing small pieces to her card! Brilliant : )
Have a wonderful day friends and thanks a bunch for stopping by.

A card for my fisherman!
There is a terrific challenge going on at The Challenge!! Doesn't this picture make you just wanna grab your deck shoes and head for the sea?
I'm not near a sea but when I saw this pretty inspiration photo it made me wanna grab my "Rowboat and Dock" image from Serendipity stamps! : ) this is my go-to image for the perfect masculine card. Especially for my husband who loves fishing almost! as much as I do : )
My computer is finally fixed! yeah!! and my chores are done so I've had the whole day to play with paper!! I also had time to pull out another picture of the beautiful area we live in and what you'll find here in South Dakota!
We have framed this one and call it "Sun Catcher". This was actually just a shot of two flowers in front of a store but the way it turned out I think it looks like it was shot in a mirror. The sunflower is not the state flower but you will find these beautiful flowers everywhere! including along the Interstate!.
I'm off to grab a snack and get back playing with paper. If you are looking for a really fun challenge tonight with a prize!! head over to the Serendipity Stamp blog but hurry because the party is almost over!
Thank you for stopping by! Have a great evening : )

Quick as a bunny can twitch his ear!
Good morning friends!! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far.
As I was writing out my Easter cards last week I found I was short a few so I had to think of something that would be quick and easy. I think this is the fastest card I've ever made! heeheehee. It was hard to photograph both the stark white and the chocolate brown bunny but hopefully you can see his sweet face in there.
Have you been thinking of your "boo boo" to share with us on April 1st? Darnell is planning a little party check out the details HERE.
Lots to do today so off I go. Thanks a bunch for stopping by. Have a great day!

Papertrey March Blog Hop Challenge
Today is the Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop!! and I just can't wait to see all the amazing cards that will be presented today!
In 2000 my sister Susan sent me this amazing gift. It is an embroidery technique she had just learned called Brazilian Embroidery.
Soon after - and over long distance! she began to teach me this lovely craft. Susan lives in Washington state and I was in Wisconsin at the time. If you can believe it she taught me with a short video she sent and with sending samples back and forth through the mail and over the phone! LOL She is very patient. : )
Once you get the hang of it - it really is not that hard. What is hard. however, is stitching on PAPER! giggles!! Here is my card and a little about my process : )
I started with the "Cast On Flower" on the upper left of the card. I marked the back of the card so I would know where to put my stitches. It was hard to get my needle into the cs without bending it and when I had only cast a few stitches they began to slip. My solution was to tape the back after each stitch to hold the thread. That was perfect for the first flower but soon I was not only stitching through the cs but also through tape : ( which made my needle a little bit sticky and that split my thread and pretty soon all of my stitches looked frayed and messy : ( shucks!
I forged on like any self respecting paper crafter would! LOL I was getting worried about the stability of the cs when I finally placed my last flower in the lower left corner. I decided to make a light and easy flower. Before I finished my flower the little french knot on the right Pistil fell out. Gulp!! I was not sure how I was going to fix that!!. I kept going trying not to make it worse when I messed up the lower portion and I knew I was sunk!
In embroidery when you mess up it is really not that big of a deal. Paper is not as forgiving so I had holes in the paper and no way to really pull my threads from the back because of the tape. My solution!? ADD PAPER! : )
Who would ever guess the MESS that lies beneath that lovely button card! heeheehee
This was a wonderful challenge. I love doing embroidery. My sister Susan has a bran new blog!! called Splash of Color. She credits me as her papercrafting mentor but she is a super talented Watercolor Artist among many many other amazing talents. I think every single craft I have ever done (and there have been zillions!) Susan has been the one to teach and encourage me. Please visit her blog HERE and leave her some love : )
Thank you for hanging in there with me in this long post. I just can't wait to see all that you will create for the HOP today. I may be a bit slow commenting but I will get to everyone I promise : )
Have a hopping good day!

Ink Blending Over Heat Embossing
Hello friends. before I start my post today I wanted to ask your indulgence! I have been having some computer issues : ( and therefore I have not been commenting like I normally do. My husband is working to help me so things should be back to normal in the next couple of days. I will use his computer when possible until then. Thank you for understanding! I will be back to visiting again soon.
Danielle Flanders has brought us a new challenge for PTI's Make it Monday challenge - and it is a good one!! Please check out her video HERE.

Happy Birthday Kim!!
There is a party going on right HERE!
I have enjoyed following Kim who occasionally shares more than her fantastic paper crafting style! Sometimes we get a glimpse into the hilarity she and her sidekicks - Darnell included - cook up. It is that fun and playful personality that inspired my card for her today.
Please join Blogland in wishing this sweet and talented part of our community a very Happy Birthday!
Also remember to search your files for those Boo Boos and be ready to share on April Fools Day. See the details HERE.

Feeling ducky!
I LOVE these adorable little ducks! I remember when I was a little girl my dad came home with some ducks! He was amazing like that often bringing home some sweet thing for us to learn to care for.
My adorable little image is "The Ducks" from Serendipity Stamps.
I am excited to enter the challenge going on at Serendipity Stamps Blog where the theme is Circles and Dots. : )
I applied random patches of pastel chalk to my paper and then I cut out the circle die. I sponged the lower portion of the card with Limeade Ice ink from PTI and Daffodil Delight ink from SU. Next I stamped my sweet little ducks and added color with my Prisma pencils. Because I stamped my image over the inked background all my eggs were yellow. I wanted them to be colored so I stamped and colored some new eggs and fussy cut them out to glue on top of the yellow ones. I really liked how it looked because it added some sweet texture! Finally I added some random dots from the scrap of my original chalked paper. My sentiment is from Simply Spring Borders from PTI.
I spent about a half hour searching for the maker of my circle die cut but sadly I have come up empty! I thought it was Elizabeth Craft but... If you know what who the maker is I would love to edit my post to add it.
I think that is all for me today. I am hoping to get some time in my crafty space today because word has it there is a very special Birthday Party HOP going on in honor of one of Blogland's sweetest and most talented neighbors that I don't want to miss.
A reminder, if you have not already heard the news, Darnell is cooking up some April Fools fun! be sure to check out her idea HERE.
Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Go with all your Heart!
I have been thinking of the Make It Monday challenge from Papertrey Ink all week. The challenge this week is to take inspiration from something you see the DT create for the New Release this month. That is no easy task! there is always so much inspiration to be found at PTI.
My card was inspired by Erin Lincoln's Stitched Bicycle. I wanted to insert the photo inspiration but could not figure out how to get it here. Instead you can click HERE to see her picture. The colors for my card were inspired by another one of my paper crafting heros : ) Betsy Veldman!!
I have bee sharing beautiful pictures of the area we live in for a while now. Here are some pictures of something we do not have in this area! Bears.
I love bears and I really miss seeing them in this state. There are so many things to do in the Black Hills and luckily the Bear Country USA wildlife park is one of them!! After the drive-through part you can park and enjoy a walk-through - zoo like setting. There is a huge play area for a dozen or more baby bears that put on quite a show! They are fun and playful and always satisfy my "bear fix". Some day I would like to have a seasons pass because people with these get to go in and hold and play with the babies. A seasons pass is a little on the spendy side - but someday I will do it.
That is it for me today. I can't wait to get over to the MIM gallery to see what each of you have created for this great challenge!
Have a great day and don't forget to mark your calendar for Darnell's upcoming Boo Boo on April fools Day challenge! it is sure to be a hoot! I spent some time yesterday going through some old picture files but realized my vanity rarely lets me take a picture of a boo boo! LOL There are some though definitely SOME! giggles

Shaking it up!
Edited to add: I just got back from Darnell's blog! she has some FUN she is cooking up for April fools Day!! Check it out HERE.
My cutie patootie Dress Up Dolls stamp set and die combo are making their debut today : ) I loved playing with paper dolls when I was a little girl. I really appreciate Betsy Veldman creating this sweet product for Papertrey Ink so I can play with paper dolls again! heeheehee. I put my little boy INSIDE the shaker portion! what could be more fun to be a boy and to be inside a shaker card?! LOL
Aren't they just adorable!! Betsy has even given them little underwear just like real paper dolls. Such detail to "unmentionables"! The boys heart underwear crack me up!
I want to enter my card in the fun challenge at Seize the Birthday challenge blog where the theme this time is "The Great Divide" : ) I used a cover plate from PTI and divided up the shaker portion of the card by covering the entire cover plate with an acrylic sheet - then adding foam tape on the back side along each division so I could contain my sprinkles.
I will enter my card in the Just Us Girls challenge because woo hoo!! the theme is:
Shaker Cards!! : ) A match made in heaven - two great challenges.
I will be sending this card to a child who is in the hospital via Send a Smile 4 Kids and I pray it brightens their day. I have been making cards for children to get a bunch sent to them. If you love making cards for young children and teens you may want to consider sending your cards to this amazingly good cause. The challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids challenge blog is "Spring Colors" I love the happy look of spring colors : )
Both my cover plate and my adorable little paper dolls are NBUS so you know what that means!! Check out what our fun and loving friend is doing now that her and Hammy have woken up from their nap! : )
It is cold today here in the Black Hills of South Dakota but the sun is bright and I still believe spring is on the way!!
Thank you for stopping by. Have a GREEN! day today!!

I am just barely getting this one in under the wire but I really wanted to do this challenge at the Tag You're it! challenge blog in honor of this week's designer! The very lovely and talented Marybeth Lopez of Marybeth's Time for Paper Blog.
This is the tag I created from her beautiful inspiration tag.
I wanted to use my new zipper die from PTI to created this tag. Beneath the gingham paper is a secret message : ) I love those zipper dies! giggles.

Ready for GOLF!
I'm ready for golf and cake!! It's not my birthday but I am always ready for cake!! giggles
I can't wait to get out on the golf course. I've really had it on my mind lately so it became the inspiration for my brother in law's card. He is about to celebrate his 70th!! birthday : )
I forgot to shoot a picture of the sentiment on the inside of the card so I just took a quickie snap and it is a terrible picture but I wanted you to see the fun sentiment that pairs with this golf themed stamp set from Papertrey Ink.
I am entering my card in two terrific challenges!!
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "A bit O" Green". This is a super popular challenge blog in which I have never entered!! I was inspired to by all the terrific cards I see being entered over blogland. I think part of the popularity is that there is a NICE! prize!! Be sure to check them out and all the delightful cards in the gallery.
My Bit O" Green is headed to the golf green! heehee get it?
The next challenge I am entering my card in is The City Crafter Challenge Blog where the theme this month is... you guessed it! GREEN! : ) This is the time when nearly everyone in the world is craving that GREEN stuff!!
Speaking of green stuff LOL we have been burning the midnight oil finishing up our taxes! UGH!! I have not had much craft time in the past few days. UGH!! but Praise the Lord the deadline is today! LOL so that means we actually HAVE to be done : ) My poor husband didn't get to bed til 4:00 this morning. We are moving slow today but as soon as my mojo wakes up I will be moving to my crafty space!! : )
I hope you are having a wonderful day. Thank you so much for stopping by and I always really appreciate your comments.
