Computers! - love em - hate em!... cake... Love it all the time!

Hello friends : )

I am so excited that I have a new computer! It has not been without some frustrations, however.   I actually hate changes! but like it or not it was time and I'm embracing it!! : ) The good news is that with this upgrade I am finally able to visit many web sites that had stopped letting me in because my computer was too old.  This new machine is  MUCH faster, never just randomly shuts down and is blissfully QUIET! : )  I am slowly getting used to the changes and thanking the Lord for my wonderful, brilliant and incredibly patient husband, Bob : )

I have not been making cards much lately as I have been working on a baby quilt for my soon-to-arrive Great Grandson!! and studying on-line water color tutorials : )  I did make this card for my husband's "baby" sister who turned 60 today so I thought I would share : )

I would like to enter this card in the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge where it is "All About Occasions" this time.  Please join me in the gallery!!

I hope you are having a great week so far and that you are getting to do all the things that make you smile!!

BIG (((hugs)))

I really like your festive birthday card! Your charming baker's milestone cake, subtle background and CAS style really come together for a most pleasing card. We are so pleased that you joined us this week at Watercooler Wednesday.

Congrats on the new computer! Mine is almost like new too. It was only 3 years old when it crashed this past November and I got a h=new hard drive. I had to learn a new program for digital images and had to recreate a lot that I lost. Please remember to save all of your stuff. This from someone that didn't. Love that birthday card for the baby sister of 60!

Your card is absolutely adorable! The flour power sentiment is awesome. New computers are definitely a hassle to set up with everything you need the way you want it, but they are usually worth the effort unless you get a lemon like I did the one time. However, I am sure yours will be a blessing! Have a wonderful day!

So happy you have a new, quick, quiet PC, Patti! Now if you could lend me Bob? Think he'd fix my browser issues?? LOL Though I don't think he'd like coming to the land of Winter again, would he?
I adore this little Leading Lady - yes, even I have favorites! You've colored her so sweetly, Patti! betting your sil will love it, too!

I am glad you are able to compute better again. That is always good but like you it always gave me a learning curve too. And, I love the card you made. That is so well designed and perfect for a milestone birthday. And, congrats on the upcoming birth of a great grandchild. How exciting!

Way to go on the new computer. I found Windows 10 a bit hard to get used to. I liked Windows 7. Your card is adorable! Congrats on new great-grandson!

Great card Patti and love the sentiment on the apron...too funny!! How exciting to have a new computer, but I totally hear you with the frustration of learning something new! I had to get a new one about a year and a half ago and it drove me nuts, but now I absolutely LOVE it and hope it never dies (PLEASE Lord!)!! I'll send a few extra prayers your way that the learning curve continues to go smoothly!! Hugs. :0)

Your card is really sweet Patti. I'm sure your S-i-l will love it! I dislike change too, especially when it comes to computers. It seems like just when I get comfortable with a new computer, it starts having issues. So glad you're figuring your new computer out and having fun with it. :0)

Adorable card for your SIL, Patti! Bet she loved it.

Congrats on the new computer. Moving everything over and setting it up is so time consuming, but you'll be good for several years now. What a relief to be up and running again! xx

How exciting to be welcoming a great grandson, Patti. A little over a year ago I was going through the same thing and got my quilt done in time. Darling card and how great it is to be able to personalize it.
